Vancouver Riots

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Leave that sweet hut alone, my wife would happily turn into the fucking wild bunch if someone trashed the sweet stall.

From the Guardian;

"The Daily Mail wrote that Ascot has been the "highlight of the summer calendar for the well-off and well-connected" for 300 years.

However the paper warned that this reign may be coming to an end – with the event now attracting "a much less distinguished breed of racegoer".

"A quick glance across the terraces reveals a sea of flesh and unsightly tattoos – of women in cheap, tawdry dresses and men who have shunned the expected top hat," the paper lamented."

:lol:

Oh those focking chavs do get in everywhere, what what what! :D :wink:

That was in Vancouver so there would be barely any of the Boston fans there, so they were fighting their own fans? Classy.

I have just studied this'fight' scene again and I am wondering why everyone felt the need to hold hands during it?

Most of the pictures look like a pissed up group of lads doing the Okey Cokey!

:wink: :lol:

Yup. Fighting their own fans, fighting their own local police, and trashing the parts of the city paid for by the government to set up as a big public area to watch the game (multiple 100 foot screens, etc).

Many many arrests have been made as morons like this guy have been brought forward to police after being identified in photos or in social media.

Many Vancouverites have organized a big "clean up downtown" volunteer thing last I heard.

It appears that Vancouver fans have a bit of a history of rioting when they lose, as I just found out that similar scenes happened when they lost the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals to the New York Rangers. :shock: And there was me thinking that the Canadians were a calmer and gentler version of Americans. :oops: :wink: :lol: :lol: :wink:
