Nasri

Post by Herd »

If he signs he has done nothing more than use a bit of media pressure on the club .

The problem now is that every time we refuse to match ,city/chelsea/utd wages we will always be prone to having someone poached, but thats nothing really new anymore.

I actually believe this as well.

Like others have said he's pressured the club. I don't think the money is the real factor in this.

Why did he say ManU when the easy option would have been to made a comment on Barca? Everyone else does!
He could have even said Madrid but he didn't, he choose ManU!
In everyone eyes its the worst we could hope for. Selling him to a rival and which would really better our rivals as well.

What he asked for was to see some ambition from the club. I like to think Samir is doing as a favour. We all know we need strengthening, the Media knows but it’s taken a player to have the guts and say it and to force the club into a corner.
It makes him look bad but if it forces Wenger to turn against his beliefs and to actually sign some fucking players then well done Nasri!

Someone has to do it, Wenger wasn't!

If he's forcing Wenger to change his ways and spend.....which seems to be happening may well explain why the Nasri thing has quieten down.
I think Nasri will sign.

Yeah in an ideal world it would be a good thing but cesc has been saying things like this for a couple of years now and he is the main player at Arsenal imo and it hasn't achieved anything.

Nasri won't sway Arsene one bit and we all know it, time for a change, 2014 seems a long way off.

No player is bigger then the club but Nasri certainly has the ball in his court.

Cesc is a different storey. Firstly I don't think he's that type of person nor has the guts to. Even if Cesc wanted to leave I think he knows the club have him over a barrel. He's under a long term contract so they we have no need to sell him and if he wanted to sulk he'd be in reserves for a long time.
Cesc may have ask Wenger to strengthen but he held no power to that agreement.

Were as Nasri's threat could sway AW plus the fans power may have got to him

i'm with boomer on this one .nasri imo has told wenger he wants
1:a central role
2:more money
3:decent playmates.
and untill he see's #3 in particular he won't sign .and boomer's right that can only be good for the club.it forces aw to do something positive as nasri won't be content with just jenkinson and chamberlain.

I'm confident with what I've said above but you've hit at an issue I'm really not sure about. Nasri in midfield

Nasri is a different player when he's in the centre in Cesc role. I prefer him there. Remember that goal against Porto (?) and the one this year against Fulham. Both came when Cesc has been injured.

There have been times in games when Nasri's been moved into centre but this is at times when Cesc IS playing his role and the two complicate rather then compliment each other.

So I can see Nasri wanting his prefered role but that would then be at the expence of Cesc. Is he asking, again what some of us are already questioning, that Cesc be allowed to leave, Samir to take his place and to use the cash from Cesc to use strenthen?

He wants AW to spend but this point I really am unsure about.

I think Nasri is at his best when he cuts in from the right.

Ah ha! I've worked out power could swing in favour of the Arsenal.

Firstly, don't sell him this summer.
He may well think about leaving at the end of his contract next year. Big pay day as well for him.

However its the Euro next year! :barscarf:
Surely Nasri will be wanting game time prior.

Still not signing? Then you won't be able to play for us, we need to look at our alternatives Sammy. Oh! you'll be needing to be playing matches ready for your nation won't you?
Well here's the contract Samir...you decide.

Mwah ha ha ha!

Great idea! Would be nice for our club to take a stance, but with weedy Wenger and the money hungry board, they would rather offload him for £2.49 and a packet of crisps rather than forcing him not to play.

One other point - if the club do force him on the bench for his final year, he could sue. If he is fit, healthy, and good enough, he would argue that he is being discriminated. Only works if the club bring in a better player to justify him being on the bench..... and lets face it; Ansenal wont do that!

To throw this claim out before it reaches court. Even Opta could prove that Denilson was a better passer.

^^^ LOL!

'Lies, damned lies, and statistics' as the saying goes - Wenger is believed to be a BIG fan of statistics. But even he would be hard pressed to find statistics to justify Denilsons existance.

Sometimes I wish that Wenger set his stats aside for one sec and just opened his eyes.
