That's a bit harsh frank. If 9 goals and 17 assists in 35 appearances of a largely injury-hit season constitutes not caring and sulking your way through a campaign, then perhaps we might have actually done better if some of our other players 'hadn't cared as much'!!
I stand by what I said, Cesc sets no example, and I also don't believe he was injured towards the end of last season but given an Almunia type of injury i.e. a non-existent one, the sooner he goes, the sooner we can get players in who actually care about playing for us!!
So why wasn't he selected for Spain and their international matches afterwards, if he was feigning? After all, surely they could have said that he got fit in the week/10 days between the end of the season and the matches if that was the case?
As for getting players who actually care for the club, them days are gone fella and of those we currently have on our books, Cesc is one of the few that shows they actually care.

Ja, sure.
Give your dealer a tip next time fella he's giving you the very best.

Where do you come out with this stuff? Seriously, do you just sit there fabricating scenarios for your own agenda? How was Cesc "sulking all through last season"? Perhaps you could give me some examples of that to back up your claims because i watched every single game that Cesc played in last season and there was no "sulking" to be seen.
And you actually believe that the club told Cesc to pretend to be injured and sit out of our important run in of games that would have seen us get 3rd and automatic CL qualification instead of having to drop down to 4th and play extra games early in the next season?
let the misserable two faced fukwad go.the barca geezer is spot on, another season has passed and there is wear and tear in the product.now wether that is a genuine assesment or more probably haggeling,he's right as a premier league player he's had his day.slow, injury prone, homesick.as for 35 mill + forget it .look at it from a different perspective ,would you want AFC to spend that on HIM?thought not.the stability of the club at this point needs to be re-established and a big step towards that and to rediscover the AFC way and pride would be to get rid .25 mill is good money for a burn out
I Hate Hleb wrote:So it's Cesc's fault that we've won nothing for the past 6 years? Nothing to do with the shite that Wenger has put around him?
He is definitely a part of it if you ask me.
Shit shit shit captain. Does fuck all to inspire the players around him and puts himself before the team.
We have built this team around him playing this boring tippy tappy bollocks that wins you fuck all, and every fucking move has to go through Cesc.
To be honest I think cesc has been a pretty decent captain but at the end of the day when you're being asked to try to inspire people like Bendtner and Diaby and Denilson then what chance do you have? It'd be like trying to teach a monkey astronomy.
I also think he's acted with a lot of respect over the Barce transfer situation. Everyone knows he wants to go back but he's never been less than 100% considerate for everyone at Arsenal.

Sorry MM, i've been doing you a diservice recently because i didn't realise you actually wrote anything, might have someting to do with that cheeky thing at the bottom, think i have been hynotised for the last 10 mins
worthing, how can you say he's acted with respect?there are many instances of him flogging his arse in the rags .even days ago he was deliberately ambiguous with his "its down to the clubs" remark.a "no mate i'm the AFC captain and proud to say i'm going nowhere"was needed but no, more double talk .he is a bad role model for the youngsters they watched ade's shannanigans and now they learn further how to destabillise and blackmail.

No worries. I may be getting rid of her for a gif of a girl giving her hot friend a piggy back and then them making out, but i think that might be a bit too far?

If we are to keep Cesc for another year i personally wouldn't have any worries about him giving anything less than 100% - Talk of him not doing so last season is pure fabrication.
Will that change the fact that we rely on injury prone players?
That our defence has the resistance of treacle?
Who was it that made Cesc the captain, did he ask for it, some players arent meant to be captains, some just need to focus on their game.
Before we adopted 4-3-3 all these were non-issues werent they
I think we need to get with the times, apart from Jack who has true affinity with arsenal, we not going to able to import a talent that we can keep happy while we remain trophyless.
I've stated any manager that can't find a way to make a winning team with Cesc in it, has to look at their own credentials.
passing football, counter attack, hoofing. If your defense is sh1t you dont stand a chance.

You cannot be serious We have what is generally accepted to be the worst squad for the past decade and yet our failures are down to cesc ? Is he expected to win games on his own as almunia practically throws the ball into his own net on a regular basis, or as our centre halfs go missing continually on set pieces or as our only striker of class is spending half his time on the treatment table ? Cesc is just woefully unfortunate that wenger has chosen his time with us to rebuild the team and in the process surround him with some utter shite
