Online Gooner vs Sunderland Lads

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We turned up ready for a bit of a fun game and the mackems brought an actual team of lads that very obviously played together regularly (their early use of an actual and effective off side trap was the first give-away!  ). But in fairness we did ok in the first half and went in 0-0 at half time. But lack of fitness fucked us up in the 2nd half I think. We also need a few better quality players to bolster the Gooner team. Where have I heard that before?
On that note I think I'll withdraw

Stand on the sidelines and shout abuse at the lot of you.

I'll stay out of this for the most part but I'll have to take you to task on that! Half of us live down here and half in Sunderland.

We'll take it as a compliment...

That Market Road pitch look canny but it looks like you can only book 28 days in advance and if people are booking trains, flights etc. I imagine we need more of a guarantee we've got a pitch?

hmmm... methinks you are lying out your mackem ass  but I guess we'll have to take your word for it!

If I remember correctly getting a deffo pitch was the real problem last time and Chunky did sterling work to get one sorted.

I can get more of those "Gooner FC Highbury" polos if needed too. Same as last time I'll pay up front and collect on the day at face value. But again we need deffo numbers before I order.

Have to get one for Spuddy too, even though he didn't play last time he picked myself, baldyaugie and my bro up from the airport, ran the line for the game and then dropped us back to the airport that night. Least he deserves is a nice polo shirt! 8)
