Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

[quote="goonersid"][quote="OneBardGooner"]PEANUTS!!! GET YER PEANUTS!!!!!!

WTF!!!!?

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/vie ... o-Arsenal/

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants the West Brom striker – who hit 15 goals in his debut Premier League season – and he is willing to pay £4m for the Nigeria international.

But Peter Odemwingie, 29, is unimpressed by the personal terms on offer, and may nowsnubArsenal in favour of Tottenham.

A source close to Odemwingie said: “Peter is not happy that, while the Gunners are willing to meet West Brom’s transfer fee, there will not be much change in his personal terms.

“The club are proposing what he considers to be peanuts for him.â€

Boils my fucking piss when I hear players going on about being offered "peanuts" (this prick) or an offer being effective to "mugging him off" (Ian Wright about the fact that Man City wouldnt pay more than 100k a week for a talentless sprinting dog with a balloon piece of shit right midfielder). When people are losing their jobs left right and centre the least you can do is be respectful even if your weekly pay offer is "only" 3 times what most people earn in a year. Fucking *word censored*. Oh, and as long as you're getting good money (which he will be if its similar to what he's on at West Brom, he's not going to starve), you'd go to Arsenal ahead of Spurs all day long unless you're a mercenary wanker. Assuming the quotes are accurate, I hope he signs for Spurs, breaks his legs, can never play again and has to try getting a real job

Yep, he's officially on his way to us, as is the keeper Keiren Westwood, both announced on the club website, signing on 1st of July. Solid enough additions tbh, I think Gordon will now be off (probably to Villa or maybe to Arsenal who, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I know are keeping tabs on him). Obviously we need a fair few more players in like- also made an £8m bid for Connor Wickham today, but I think he'll end up with Liverpool

His name is Ji Dong Won, we were all hoping he would be known as "Dong" so we could see how many dickheads get it plastered on the back of their strips, but alas he will be known as Ji. Know very little about him as you'd expect- he's over 6 foot, quite fast and scored 6 in 11 for South Korea, but he'll pretty much be a squad player designed to sell a few shirts in Korea. apparently about £2.5m which seems a lot for an unknown lad from Cunnam Dragons in korea like :?

We still need 2 more strikers as well, so hopefully we can get someone good and then go all out for Shane Long so that we can have the fabled Long Dong partnership for the Carling Cup
