Cesc must quit for Barca

Hill-wood said that we dont want to sell cesc as opposed to saying that we will not sell cesc - a deliberate choice of words or yet another fcuk up for our senile silver spooned dickhead chairman ?
Unlike Wenger who's concise with his choice of words I wouldn't read anything into what Hill-wood says.

Well don't forget, he's worth less because he played less season. "Wear and tear" I think they called it.

What a bunch of fucking morons.

In this market, if we took anything less than 40m for Cesc, I would be incensed. We should be able to get 50-60 for him, but everyone knows Arsenal's softness when it comes to transfer dealings will not get us top dollar.

F Torres: injury prone and inconsistent, 50m
A Sanchez: young, unproven, raw talent, 38m
Cesc: proven player, captain, Catalan descent, 30m?

You're havin a laugh!
Add to that Andy Carroll 35m and 30m for someone of Cescs ability is not near enough. Although looking at football manager Modric is miles better

Just because Liverpool paid over the odds for Carroll it doesn't mean Barcelaona have to be dumb enough to pay stupid money also.

I am still adamant that £30 million is a fair price!

We should make a counter bid for Messi for £9m. An make it public knowledge with some spin.

"We, the Arsenal, believe that Messi is an interesting player that we like and have made an official approach for the player. Messi has won everything that Barcelona has to offer, including the Champions League...twice in fact. Therefore we, the Arsenal, feel that Barcelona no longer possesses any new challenge for the player and that Barcelona’s offer to us doesn't quite match our valuation for a 4ft. 2 midget"

8) Good shout Boomer, I'd love to see that happen. And we'll throw in Denilson. He's a winner.

Cesc has done us no favours by letting the world know that Barcelona is the only club he will go, we have little bargaining power re the price, for this reason I would keep him and sell him for a cheaper fee in his last year.

It comes down to principle, he may not have asked for a transfer but he has as good as in his 'nice' way, its screwed us.

Fuck'em! that's what I say.

If he sulks he will be dropped
Its a Euro championship year the end of the summer and Cesc's gotta be playing regularly and playing well to be picked.
Maybe we could even threaten to drop him mid-season unless he signs a new contract extension which includes a release clause...obviously £60M! :-P

Bidding 27 million for Fabregas is just an insult. I don't believe that Barcelona have no more money to spend. If Real Madrid bids 45 million, I would bet Barcelona come up with even more. They always seem to find the money somewhere.

The Problem is Barca know full well that Cesc won't go to any other club. We can accept the bid from Madrid but Cesc would turn down the move.

That scare tactic (or realism) wouldn't work.
