In this market, if we took anything less than 40m for Cesc, I would be incensed. We should be able to get 50-60 for him, but everyone knows Arsenal's softness when it comes to transfer dealings will not get us top dollar.

Cesc has done us no favours by letting the world know that Barcelona is the only club he will go, we have little bargaining power re the price, for this reason I would keep him and sell him for a cheaper fee in his last year.
It comes down to principle, he may not have asked for a transfer but he has as good as in his 'nice' way, its screwed us.

If he sulks he will be dropped
Its a Euro championship year the end of the summer and Cesc's gotta be playing regularly and playing well to be picked.
Maybe we could even threaten to drop him mid-season unless he signs a new contract extension which includes a release clause...obviously £60M!

The Problem is Barca know full well that Cesc won't go to any other club.
