Cesc must quit for Barca
he will go
we all know he will go...last year he had the look of a sulky little boy going through the motions. its just a case of how much we will accept....i maintain if they get anywhere near 35m he will be adios.and to be fair good on him....we got him for nothing dont forget.wouldnt trust wenger to spend it on someone suitable but thats another story. all this stuff about let him rot is total sloblocks.

£35M is the word on the street, and the deal will be done next week. £25M upfront and rest over 2 years, so I just hope AW starts to spend some if he is true to his word, hopefully before August!!!!Boomer wrote:We should make a counter bid for Messi for £9m. Messi has won everything that Barcelona has to offer, including the Champions League...twice in fact. Therefore we, the Arsenal, feel that Barcelona no longer possesses any new challenge for the player and that Barcelona’s offer to us doesn't quite match our valuation for a 4ft. 2 midget"
Get the deal done double quick, personally i woul hold out for £40m.
My abiding memory of Fabregas will be in the tunnel before the away game in Barcelona, cuddling the Barce players.
For me that was a total disgrace and embarresment, sent out all the wrong signals to his team mates.
Of course he wants away, i always find it more interesting what he doesn't say as opposed to what he says ie i haven't heard him say once over the last 2 years he WANTS to remain an Arsenal player.

I think that's cheap, i mean if they paid nearly 60 mil for ibra and kaka went to real for 50 mil then i think cesc is worth somewhere in the middle in all honesty (55mil obv).bergkamp10 wrote:£35M is the word on the street, and the deal will be done next week. £25M upfront and rest over 2 years, so I just hope AW starts to spend some if he is true to his word, hopefully before August!!!!Boomer wrote:We should make a counter bid for Messi for £9m. We won't replace him and will just use the transfer fee to give nasri more money and sign on a few of the dross on longer contracts just in case

Makes you laugh really, we make sure the likes of eboue are on long term contracts yet we let the contracts of clichy and nasri almost expire, two players worth a few quid if on long contracts.

We will except £35m.Cesc is a wonderful player but what is the pont in keeping an unhappy player?Supagoon wrote:50M not a penny less. Look at barca's turnover, they can get a feckin loan, they're just being stubborn.
Like people have said, what good to us is the money, if we dont spend.
imo we'll never accept a 35M offer, you'd have to be stupid to accept that for cesc.
And even if Barca offered us £50m we wouldnt spend it,Remember what we did with the Greedy/Toure money

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11670_7002851,00.htmlArsenal are widely reported to have rejected an opening offer of the summer for captain Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have failed in the past two years to re-sign the midfielder, who was a member of their youth Academy before moving to London in 2003.
But, after endless speculation, Pep Guardiola's current European and Primera Liga champions are now understood to have returned with a starting bid of €30million (£27m).
Arsenal are said to have immediately turned down the verbal offer, having refused to accept a €35m approach 12 months ago.
Emirates Stadium boss Arsene Wenger is understandably refusing to let his skipper leave, but it is thought that the Gunners would listen to £40m approaches for the 24-year-old.

I dont think we should accept anything less than 40m - imo cesc is one of the worlds best midfielders and if he wasnt spanish and competing with xavi and ineista for game time he would be a leading light in world football. The market dictates the value of players nowadays and if sanchez is going to barca for such a high price then why shouldnt we expect barca to pay a bigger sum for a player that has proven himself at the top level for a number of seasons now ? If cesc had not come from their academy they would not be taking the piss with the type of offers we are more used to see wenger making
