The train journey from Faro to Lisboa Oriente takes around 3-4 hours, there are only about five trains a day. In Portugal, you can purchase tickets on the actual trains but there should be some staffed ticket booths at the station who will speak English. This should help you if you are to fly into Faro and want to catch a train to Lisbon -

Not sure about last year but there was some scrapping the year before I remember. Saw some guy get Hadouken'd down about 10ft of concrete terracing
