Not condoning what he did, but the older of the girls was 13 going on 14. I've lost count of the number of times now that I've been laughed at in conversations with other parents for suggesting that boyfriends of girls of that age, who were in their late teens should be considered as peados. But that was exactly the situation when my daughter was 14. A lot of her friends were seeing 18/19 year olds.

So for the guy to be taken to court for it and end up on the sex offenders register is I think a tad unusual.....

And ignoring the actual wording of the Hearts statement, the idea that the club would forgive isn't that strange. Coventry rescued the career of Marlon Harewood, and has he not just been bought by Birmingham. Barton at Newcastle (albeit for violence rather than sec offences). Kerry Dixon, Graham Rix.....

It was Marlon King MK.Who is now at Birmingham.And he had previous convictions for violence against women and sexual offences

To be fair mate, one of the kids was 13 turning 14 and, even if that can be ignored or excused or whatever (personally if i had a daughter who had just turned 14 and an 18/19 year old was trying to fuck her I'd find the little bastard and he'd literally never be capable of fucking anyone ever again- i think thats the case for most fathers, fuck knows whats wrong with these parents in MK that you've been talking to, they sound like they need a slap if they'd let their 14 year old girl go out with an 18/19 year old), the fact remains that the other lass was 12 years old and by the looks of things he knew their age. For the 12 year old alone he deserves to be sacked and put on the sex offenders register. Plus it says that the 14 year old said that she felt uncomfortable when he said he wanted to have sex with her and he still sent a picture of his cock to her.

If Sunderland stuck by a player who was doing this I would be disgusted at me own club and would never turn up to the SoL whilst the paedo was representing us. TBH it wouldnt happen, he wouldnt dare play in front of our fans or walk around our city, he'd get fucking destroyed in Sunderland for what he's done. Look, I come from Essex so I know what underage sex is all about.....

Times have changed though and the "rules" I remember from my youth no longer seem to apply - and not just in MK. I think 18/19 year olds today regard 14 year olds as fair game.

My daughter was still 14 when she went away as part of a larger group and when she got home we had suspicions and found that some 18 year old had been texting her and asking her to go on Facebook - and not to chat.

One of her friends was still 14 when she started seeing a 20 year old from Nottingham that she'd met when camping. She is a really nice kid and old for her age. But when I was 20 I wouldn't have looked at school kids as potential shags..... As I say, times have changed.....

Where times haven't changed is over the 12 year old. If he knew her age then that is sick!
