Exactly right, he would be better in the middle, but it would probably depend on whether we play the 4-2-3-1 formation or not?MEDINABOY wrote:its all about the future BOOMER,i rekon nasri see's himself in the middle pulling the strings and bursting through when able.quartz suggests he's better outside my thoughts would be he does'nt get involved enough on the wing and with his ability in tight spaces needs to be in the thick of it.

I agree with you both.bergkamp10 wrote:Exactly right, he would be better in the middle, but it would probably depend on whether we play the 4-2-3-1 formation or not?MEDINABOY wrote:its all about the future BOOMER,i rekon nasri see's himself in the middle pulling the strings and bursting through when able.quartz suggests he's better outside my thoughts would be he does'nt get involved enough on the wing and with his ability in tight spaces needs to be in the thick of it.
This might explain the link with Gervinho and could possibly pave the way for Cesc to leave.

Gadaffi could hold a fcuking gun to wenger's head and it wouldnt make him pull his finger out

But if there's one man who could convince him not to pull the trigger, it's Wengeraugie wrote:Boomer wrote:It's only a threat to Wenger to pull his fucking finger out.augie wrote:Not sure if I give a fcuk if he stays or not tbh - would not under any circumstances sell him to any other english team though

First post. I normally just read the forum as I have little news to offer but...
I'm currently in Las Vegas and as I wear my Arsenal shirt on the strip many other Brits have been talking to me about football. A few have been telling me that Nasri and Chamakh have been here for the past week(ish) staying at the MGM. They have also told me that through broken English they have been trying to ask him where he'll be next summer and when they asked about Man Ure he gave a thumbs up. I hope this isn't true as Jenkinson and the possibility of getting Alvarez(?) in and Nasri out doesn't sound like a good transfer window to me.
This story isn't factually accurate but I thought that I'd share.

We need the club to resolve the Cesc situation.Boomer wrote:I'm confident with what I've said above but you've hit at an issue I'm really not sure about. Nasri in midfieldMEDINABOY wrote:i'm with boomer on this one .nasri imo has told wenger he wants
1:a central role
2:more money
3:decent playmates.
and untill he see's #3 in particular he won't sign .and boomer's right that can only be good for the club.it forces aw to do something positive as nasri won't be content with just jenkinson and chamberlain.
Nasri is a different player when he's in the centre in Cesc role. I prefer him there. Remember that goal against Porto (?) and the one this year against Fulham. Both came when Cesc has been injured.
There have been times in games when Nasri's been moved into centre but this is at times when Cesc IS playing his role and the two complicate rather then compliment each other.
So I can see Nasri wanting his prefered role but that would then be at the expence of Cesc. Is he asking, again what some of us are already questioning, that Cesc be allowed to leave, Samir to take his place and to use the cash from Cesc to use strenthen?
He wants AW to spend but this point I really am unsure about.
I say sell Cesc for £30m+
Give Nasri the contract he wants and let him play in the middle. I am not sure he has as many killer passes in him as Cesc but he can take on defenders and create space.
The club should make some quality big ticket signings to keep Nasri around for another year.
Another contract will give him a nice signing on fee and the club will have an asset with considerable value. A bit like Henry's last year although Nasri might stay longer if we win something.
Hearing lots of murmurs today that's he on his way out, medical at Utd in the next few days.
So they've just won their 19th title, yet rather than sit on their laurels are snapping up some of the best talents in the game whilst we're taking the moral high ground over our transfer & spending policy, haggling over £15 for some Ligue 1 winger who nobody really knows anything about & a couple of Championship teenagers...
Sort this shit out Arsene, we're fucking doomed if both Cesc & Nasri leave. Who's he gonna bring in to replace them?!

Yep, this is something that Ferguson has always done, and it's why he's so successful, he's forever strengthening his team and squad, even when he's won things, and anyway, all we do with our fucking laurels is surround the cartoon crest on the new shirt with them...Dan_85 wrote:Hearing lots of murmurs today that's he on his way out, medical at Utd in the next few days.

We've always been a pretty reactive club rather than proactive I believe, right back through to the 60s & 70s, always looking to fix problems rather than prevent them occurring. Fucking frustrating though.franksav63 wrote:Yep, this is something that Ferguson has always done, and it's why he's so successful, he's forever strengthening his team and squad, even when he's won things, and anyway, all we do with our fucking laurels is surround the cartoon crest on the new shirt with them...Dan_85 wrote:Hearing lots of murmurs today that's he on his way out, medical at Utd in the next few days.
