Well newcastle don't want him, so why the feck not!? :?

He'd be the ideal signing in someways - would sort out all those lazy wimp fucktards that are very poor excuses for Arsenal Players, like eboue/rosicky/bendtner/arshavin/clichey/diaby/vela/squilacci/djourou/ denilshyte.
who knows maybe they just might learn what it means to get stuck min and how to "Tackle with a bit of steel" :D  ....just might remind AW that not all players are wimps...

Signing Barton would be Wenger admitting that his tippy tappy total football vision does not and never will cut it in the PL on its own.

It may not be a signing everyone will be happy with but it will be symbolic in that stubborn old Wenger has seen where he is going wrong, that is a good thing.

Why? :?

I think some people are getting a little carried away with Barton the thug and ignoring the fact that he's not actually a bad footballer! - in fact, I'd say he has more technical ability than Denilson, Flamini and Gilberto; none of which were technically outstanding, in my opinion.

I just don't see why signing Barton has to be viewed as being such a huge deviation from out "tippy tappy" total football. He could play in a tippy tappy team quite easily, I reckon. Tackle and pass it short to more gifted, creative players like Wilshere, Nasri and Cesc. It's all about balance, after all. But, anyway, I've always thought Barton's range of passing was quite decent, but there you go.

We won't sign him though.

Because he represents everything Wenger seems against in the last few years, I've spoke up for Barton the footballer a number of times so its not a case of trying to talk down his ability, its more a case of him as a package which is what Wenger has moved away from.

It seems like he wants his players to be technicaly strong without paying much consideration to their metal while wanting players that don't challenge him or upset his fragile flowers, Gallas and Adebayor are two that have been moved on after rubbing some up the wrong way, Barton is the opposite to his current taste.

You say we won't sign him, don't be so sure, Barton at 1.5 or Parker at 7, who do you think he will go for?????

If Barton is that cheap then I see him taking the risk.

Why when Scott Parker an all round better player and human being is available?

Smacks of desperation just because we need a bit of backbone.

I hate this because he is cheaper than Parker argument. It's one of the reasons we are in the current mess we are. Had we spent a bit more in Jan on a decent CB then maybe we would have a trophy or two in the cabinet.

I would rather gamble on Scott Parker than Joey "disgusting scouse cunt" Barton.

You may hate the cheaper argument but it is what it is.

I don't want us to sign Barton, but he would certainly shake up the dressing room, I can just imagine him knocking 6 shades of shite out of Denilson for being a lazy shirking *word censored*.

Thats why Utd are champions. And we are also-rans.Did Utd haggle over the price for Jones and Young?.No.They just paid it.While we are penny pinching. If we want Samba or Cahill fucking pay the asking price.

Barton is a better player than Parker. He's also less injury prone and was not part of a side that got relegated last year. I like Parker but Barton is simply better than him. Don't let his personality fall you, he's a very good footballer.
