Watched the game earlier on- they must be pretty shit to get relegated since iirc the points are averaged over 3 seasons, wouldnt have thought they'd be that shite for that kind of a prolonged period. Saw there was a bit rioting anarl, nothing too bad like, few bricks and the likes getting chucked but nothing dreadful. Imagine the players might be in for a seriously bad time over the next few weeks like

Watched the game earlier, grown men bawling in the stands, players in tears too. Was a bit of scrapping at the end, nothing that major though. Seen worse in Poland, Greece, Serbia. Two guys fighting over a piece of wood to throw made me laugh though.

Kicked off more outside the ground. One fan killed so far, cars & vans overturned & torched, Club Museum looted & parts of the stadium set alight, trapping fans inside. Crazy stuff.

oh sh1t.

Guess it was always going to happen, thats what the 2000 officers were for. I can imagine it must be crushing to see a once successful team enter fall into the abyss, but dang nobody should die over football.

Havent schooled myself how they got into this position. maybe I will now.

Can you imagine if we were relegated,we would stand there clapping politely and shouting things like

"Hard luck chaps and jolly good show for the other teams"

When you think of argentinian club football you think of boca and river plate and it is amzing to me that they have been relegated although I dont follow the south american game tbh. Imagine how all the great players that played for that club down the years feel (marcelo salas from chile is the standout one in my mind) and the shock that they would feel that this massive club could have fallen so far
