Was really happy with the performance tonight. We really took it too em. We just could not find the goal. But it is still all to play for. I mean in fairness, we were playing one of the best teams in Europe. We have reason to be confident from that performance.
Thing is there were no gaps in the defense tonight. They were like a better Blackburn or Bolton. Then you do have to play twice as good as the Italians to beat them, we did and we only drew.
Back to the point, there was no gaps in the defense tonight for them, there will be gaps at the San Siro, so bare that in mind.
Last thing remember the San Siro a few years ago?
We can do it again.
Proud of them

WAS I AT A DIFFERENT MATCH BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK WE PLAYED THAT WELL THIS EVENING. WE REALLY DIDN'T CREATE THAT MUCH AND ONLY HAD ONE CLEAR-CUT CHANCE IN THE WHOLE MATCH, ADE'S. EDUARDO HAD A HALF DECENT CHANCE BUT ALL THE REST OF THE ATTEMPTS WERE SHOTS FROM OUTSIDE THE BOX WHICH THE MILAN KEEPER DEALT WITH COMFORTABLY.
THE ONLY PERIODS WHERE WE HAD A SEMBLENCE OF CONTROL AND MADE AC MILAN LOOK UNCOMFORTABLE WAS FOR 15 MINUTES AT THE START OF THE 2ND HALF AND THE LAST TEN OR SO MINUTES. ASIDE FROM THAT, WE STRUGGLED TO MAKE THE MOST OF OUR POSSESSION AND DIDN'T PLAY AT OUR USUAL TEMPO FOR A SUFFICIENTLY LONG ENOUGH PERIOD TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR AGEING AND CREAKING DEFENCE.
AND WHY THE FECK DID WENGER ONLY PUT THEO ON WITH 1 MINUTE TO GO, WHEN THE GAME WAS CRYING OUT FOR A FAST WINGER/FORWARD TO TAKE ON THEIR DEFENDER, ESPECIALLY AFTER FINALLY REVERTING TO 4-4-2 WHEN BENDTNER CAME ON? WITH HLEB STRUGGLING TO INFLUENCE THE MATCH FROM HIS FREE ROLE, EDUARDO CERTAINLY WASN'T DOING IT AND NEITHER WAS THAT DIVING, CHEATING, PLAY-ACTING CLOWN EBOUE ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
ALTHOUGH I REALLY THINK WE MISSED A TRICK TONIGHT, I'M STILL HOPEFUL - AS OPPOSED TO CONFIDENT - THAT WE CAN GET A SCORING DRAW OR A WIN IN MILAN TO SEE US THROUGH. HOWEVER, WE WILL NEED TO PLAY WITH MORE PURPOSE AND PACE - AND NOT AT THE SLOWER TEMPO PREFERRED BY AC MILAN - IF WE ARE TO PULL THIS ONE OFF.

I thought we played really well in the second half. Once Nesta went off I felt that their defence couldn't handle the pace of Arsenal. I was really fucking annoyed at the 4-5-1 again and when Bendtner came on and we went 4-4-2 they didn't know what to do.
I hope Nesta can be injured for the second leg cos they looked a different side without him.
