Cheap Hotel near Emirates advice

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cheap Hotel near Emirates advice

Post by arsenalmorris »

Hi I am coming down with 2 friends for the emirates cup on both days and am wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap hotel near emirates for the night. Don't need nothing smart but we will be going out drinking in then day and and at night till late.

I normally come down for the day for home matches so am unsure of what places are good to stay.

I've stayed in a few in Finsbury Park. If you are after the cheap and cheerful variety the Pembury Hotel isn't bad. It's about 20 minutes walk from the ground. It's also just across the road from the glorious Twelve Pins. Also stayed in the Costello Palace and the Kent Hall which are OK too. If you only want somewhere to rest your head these will do fine.

Quite a few decent pubs in the area too.

There are quite a few on the stretch of Seven Sisters Rd between Finsbury Park and Manor House stations. Not sure about prices and that, but could be worth a look.

Type "Finsbury Park" into google maps, click search nearby and type in hotel. You'll see a big choice

.....the two dead prossies were found in the Costello Palace two nights before the Arsenal v Man U Champs league match which I travelled over for. Guess where I stayed? Yep the Costello Palace.

If your on a budget your best bet is to stay at a Travelodge/Premier Inn in North London or one close to a tube station.

Majestic on the seven sisters is ok. Cheap and clean. Round corner from Finsbury Park tube. Does the job.

I have stayed at two -

Charlies Guest House, Anson Road (nr Tufnell Park)
Kandara Guest House, Ockendon Road (off Essex Road)

Kandara was better quality but a tad more expensive.
