Hmmm, fair point but not really one of Fergie's cast offs and was at the World Cup so he could have worked out, just our luck that he was gash.

To clarify, buying another United reject would be too humiliating even Wenger.

@Mirrorfootball-
Gary Cahill's move to Arsenal looks a no go-er. Arsène Wenger is refusing to budge on his £13m valuation, and meet Bolton's £17m valuation.
Chelsea look clear favourites for him now.

Wenger refusing to spend the extra 4m.
In Wenger's retarded brain, playing Squillaci > Paying 17m for Cahill

If true thats genuinely a shocking situation and the nail in Wenger's coffin.

Buying a player who turns out to be shit and buying a broken down reject are two different things.

If that is true then we are doomed as he won't change.

Its just astounding from the man. Cahill is highly sort of and we offer 13 million? Its nonsense business. If I was Cahill I wouldn't want to fucking come if that's what Wenger sees him as

I dont rate Cahill as highly as most on here. Then again barring him and Samba who else is there.

Signing Gary Cahill will not solve our defense issues we will continue to leak goals until Wenger leaves the club.

Distin was linked today.

One year left, French, seems more like it.

Cahill has one year left as well. Thinking about it 17 million is a bit much but surely negotiate it.

This reminds me of the story that Dein and Wenger always used to write down their valuations of a player on a bit of paper, and Dein's would always be higher.

Of course with Dein there we would usually get the player and we all know what a DB10, for example, did for us.

If this Cahill 'rumour' is true though then if I was Cahill I would never come. It's just insulting to him - or a 'cunning plan' so that Wenger doesn't have to spend any money and then can get a cheap african/frenchie in, although it looks like he was trying to buy the necessary, experienced players to go in the huge holes we have now, so trying to appease the fans.
