I was a Gooner Loooooong before he came and will beloooong after he's gone...it just makes me sad and angry that he doesn't seem to be able to comprehend what all (non-AKB's & JCL's) Gooners know and have been saying for (at leasy) 4 seasons....the thing is it has (after the last 2 seasons especially) now got to the point where even if he does bring in 4 - 5 top TOP Quality players in the required positions...it just feels like already it is all too late.....and there was no need for it to get so FUCKIN' AWFUL...It just makes me feel so SAD!

He claims that everybody is waiting around before making signings towards the end of july.........has the *word censored* not seen manure (current champions) make 3 big signings already ? Has he not noticed the scousers sign a player rumoured to be one of the bright young talents in english football (not my words mind) and have a bid accepted for jones only for him to reject them in favour of manure ? Has he missed citeeh bidding for sanchez and the chavs bidding for modric ? Further afield does he know that madrid have signed that promising young turkish midfielder and a french defender (varella ??) while barca have bid for both sanchez and our own cesc and of course bayern have bought neuer as well ? These are all rival clubs of ours both domestically and on the european stage and they are not standing still yet this old *word censored* is dithering about as per usual saying that he is gonna wait until the end of july and he is gonna observe the weaknesses in other teams squads........who the fcuk cares about other teams weaknesses ? Wenger - Everyone standing still

Gunners boss prepared to bide his time in the transfer market

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he will not be rushed in the transfer market and admits it could be several weeks before he makes any significant movement.

Gunners fans have been urging the Frenchman to strengthen his squad this summer after seeing another promising season end without silverware last term.

A number of high-profile players have been linked with an exit from North London with Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy all tipped to depart.

Lille striker Gervinho is expected to complete a move to Emirates Stadium in the coming days, while Southampton youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another reported target.

Despite Manchester United making a number of significant moves, Wenger feels that the transfer market is unlikely to heat up until much closer to the start of the new season.

Nobody blinks

"Currently, everyone is standing still," Wenger said in an interview with a French radio station.

"Everyone expects everyone else to make the first move. Everyone holds on to their cards, hoping for the major transfer.

"Nobody blinks until late July, early August. Then we will analyse the gaps in each team.

"But I am very active on the phone."

Instead of dealing with the glaring weaknesses of OUR team & getting into the transfer market early, negotiating player deals quickly before others get in, dickhead Arsene is waiting for others to move do that he gets in a bidding war which he has no intention of winning, thus making way for more excuses, paving the way for making inadequate signings that nobody else wants.

Really hate Wenger.

Papers are reporting this morning that Van Persie has threatened to quit Arsenal if Cesc, Nas and Clichy are sold. Might be paper talk but let's be honest, you're a top player and the other two best players in the team look like they are being sold after years of non-investment, what would you do?
Yeah there's a rebuilding job going on at Arsenal, with our best players leaving and being replaced by no names or one season wonders. The death of a football club. (not actual death but you know what I mean).

Of course he says he is "busy on the phone"........considering that lille and southampton have both made statements saying that we had been in contact but no concrete bids had been made I dont know how he can use that line

Two months ago we all forecast this happening but I argued the point that if we are to embark on a serious get rid of the shit buy in some fresh quality type of rebuild then shouldnt it be under a new manager anyway ? The argument for keeping wenger has been continuity but if such an overhaul is happening I really dont see why wenger should be kept on

Is it safe to assume that if only 3 of our top players leave (from cesc, nasri, clichy, arshavin and the unlikely rvp) and some of the dross also depart (bendtner, denilson, almunia, rosicky, vela, diaby wishful thinking I know) then most fans wont expect silverware next season ? I know I certainly wont unless we buy some real top top level quality (and that is about as likely as almunia winning world player of the year

) so imo it makes perfect sense to get in a new manager with fresh focus and energy to drive this rebuild forward.

I have a sneaky feeling that when wenger leaves he will drop us right in the shit - imo we are already in turmoil but I just envisage him leaving with a week to go in the transfer window or middway in a season when any decent managers already have a job and any replacement will not be in a position to bring in players

Our three best players leaving would totally fuck the club (no-one of similar class would join) which would ultimately result in Wenger getting the push

Firmly believe we need a few years of pain in order to get our club back so I'd welcome an exodus of our cream
