Nasri - I need to win trophies!!!!!

Our problem isnt giving Nasri £130k a week its paying shite like Denilson Diaby Bender and Rosicknote £50-60k a week.We reward usless tossers who are not fit to wear the shirt

Not really Adebayor 2 - at least he didn't spend all of last season wombling around in an offside position without bothering to put in even the smallest amount of effort.

No, I have a feeling he's going to do it this season, hence adebayor mark2. We'll give him a raise, he'll put in a half arsed effort and want a transfer at the end of the season. :banghead:

This really goes to show how out of touch modern day players are, they're just a bunch of greedy flash bastards, who, despite playing for our great club, I now feel nothing for.

Thanks Frank, you summed it up beautifully.
I put up a thread recently about how I felt about the Club after over 40 years of support. i.e for the first time I felt like the piss was being taken out of me. IF and of course it's an if at the moment, all this talk of Nasri and £180k a week is true, then it just might be the last straw for me. We can argue all day about winning trophies and I'm not saying that it might not play a small part in his thinking, but this is just money money money and I'm not just blaming AFC cos it's how football is now but this Nasri episode has just made me feel numb.
Fabregas I can accept but this player power/ holding clubs to ransom shit can't continue. I really really really want 1985 back when we were shit but you trusted the players' motives more and why they were wearing our shirt and yes we were losing 1-0 to York but.........oh just fuck off Nasri you fucking mercenary :banghead:

I can't blame him for going.

I said before that he wanted AW and the club to show some abition. Don't have to spend millions but by simply addressing the weakness and generally strenthening the team and quality competition for places would do. We've been saying it for the past 4 transfer windows and so I can totally understand why he wants to leave.

I won't be saying good luck to him but I understand the reasons why...same as for Clichy but he's been here longer so he knows our frustration more. He's gone from Invincibles to this shower in 7 years!
This is one man's fault....

Yep, Eboue, nice post, I would love to go back to those times, the odd good cup run, a league title perhaps every 7 or so seasons, paying on the gate, I hate what the club is at the moment, and I now regret renewing my season ticket, I don't think I've ever felt so low as how I feel now about the club and the majority of our players we have (for now) playing for us.

Can you tell him to stop shitting in the woods then. Totally fucks up the ambience when I’m using my outdoor sex-swing. :banghead:

Citeh's team's got a spine of Hart, Kompany, De Jong, Yaya, Tevez. Personally I'd say that's the strongest in the league. Around that they've got world-class quality (imo) in Silva (can easily see him as one of the players of the year next season) & the likes of Richards & even Milner etc prepared to bust a gut for the team. That's a solid, balanced basis for a trophy-winning team, before they even start adding the final bits of the jigsaw - which Nasri would be one of. They're on their way & are only gonna get better. Don't think we can simplify all players joining Citeh as "mercenaries" any more.

Nasri's 24, if he signed a contract with us for say 5 years it would take him up towards the end of his prime years if he stayed for the length of it. Why would he want to commit those years of a short career to a club that's clearly going backwards? He left his hometown club to join us & further his career, but now everyone expects him to be "loyal" to us? :?

Lets face it City like Barca will win something next year, be it the league, champ league, cups even the charity shield! If Sami and Cesc stay with us there only chance of lifting a trophy is the emirates cup! add on top of this they will be paid double their wages and be going to a club which invests in the team and has quality players around them. remeber when players would come to arsenal citing that they wanted and were excited tomplay with player like, Henry, Pires, Bergkamp, Vieira, Adams, Ljungberg, Fabregas. Who have they got now. no disrespect to some of our up and comings but name me one player that inspires others to come to our club, I cant! yes wilshire, ramsey will be good but if i had the choice to play at city, barca, utd, chelsea, liverpool i would! thay have world class players we dont the only two we have in my opinion will be leaving this summer! and RVP will spend half the season injured! it even hurts me to say that the Scum down are a more attractive option for a player, with bale, modric, van der vart. what have we become!

Nasri needs to remember HE WAS PART OF THE TEAM THAT FELL APART!

He was nowhere in the second half of the season when we needed him to step up....Bolton away 1-1, through on goal, bottled it.

He is replaceable, as if Clichy, im really not worried about them going!

I agree!

More for teh sake of moral within the team we need to replace big though.
Just hope Wenger doesnt see this is a bonus for making more money.

Yes, but look who is going to be doing ''the replacing'' the stubborn bastard who purchased Nasri in the first place, it's going to be more of the same I fear if Wenger stays at the helm... Weak players, both in mind and body, a blueprint of the player that Wenger now purchases.

Why purchase? We've got Gibbs and the nuckledusting Traore will be reurning from Juve. :barscarf:

Nasri and his agent are acting like twats.

Now he comes out and says its all about winning trophies. Well hes never won anything in his life - so I can imagine it is pretty important to him. Well Arsenal have won a great deal over the years - yes interspersed with a few barren periods (usually but not always when we've got crap players). Man City will no doubt win a few things in the coming years they may even go on to be the most successful club in the history of football. They'll probably even have some decent players turn out fully motivated by winning and not just the money at some point. But today they are just a collective mercenary outfit all looking for a pay day....if that turns you on Nasri then go for it.

But if you stay and put in a full season's shift (it aint enough to play well in a few games, get a song and be on Champion's League credits every week). You might just earn a proper contract next year. Thats all.
