Info for Blackburn request

Post by badliebenzell »

Realise it's a long way off, but considering trying to get tkt for Blackburn. One of few grounds haven't visited. Any info re: decent pubs, is ground easy to get to or is it in the middle of nowhere? Any info on that stuff greatly appreciated.

Fernhurst pub across the road from away end is most popular with visiting fans, big but gets fucking hot in there & takes a while to get served. You can drink in the car park though & they sometimes serve beer & food out there. Have only driven up there, never taken the train. Pretty easy to find, takes fucking ages though...

Also,if you get there early enough, they allow cars to park there for about a tenner, limited room though.

I would recommend Mcdonald just around the corner of the ground :barscarf:. Like the milkshake there.

I usually park at the Darwen College and walk 10 minutes up the road to the ground, The Fernhurst has already been mentioned but back down towards the M65 there's also The Golden Cup, Never been in either to be fair.

I find that parking in the college helps get a quick get away after the match even staying until after the final whistle.

Whatever you do don't do what we did and park quite far away, that walk back up that steep hill after the game was painful
