Let's hope so, as a club, we can not move forward with these two staying, we will have the same problem next year minus the transfer fees to replace them.

It's such poor management, I can't believe Kroenke would go along with it.

I've had SSN news on the last half hour and its the first I've heard of it.
The guy is in Asia with the squad.

This really would be pathetic if it was a wind up....

He's on the jolly to the far east, why would he be negotiating a transfer away, he's not about, mores the pity.

Anyone expecting or hoping for a deluge of signings will be disappointed - judging by what Wenger says.

So it seems that,

Clichy won't be replaced.

Fabregas may be replaced if sold, but can only see a reduction in quality in the best case.

Bendtner out/Gervinho in.

Almunia out/Mannone back at club, Flappy as new signing (incl Vermaelen and Myaichi in that).

Perhaps 1 centre back as an addition is all we're looking at. With the rotting and rancid shit that we have in the squad who will remain, and the fact that Wenger still thinks he is only 1 or 2% away, then all does not bode well for the new season.

Im beginning to feel its a win win situation. If Wenger buys the right players we stand a good chance of genuinely challenging again. If not then the cracks in his team will be more evident and he'll have to go sooner or later

I’ve got that feeling too….strange how a couple of bits of news turns the doom and gloom.

Not saying that everything’s still fixed but baring Clichy it’s still the same team as last year but with the addition of Gervinho (so far)
I’ve said we needed a proper wingers as the others are just attacking midfielders.

So with this and only 1 place for the leading striker between RVP and Chamakh we really don’t need Bendtner.

Nor do we need Almunia who like to go as well and for me this is key.
Because Wenger didn’t know who our main keeper was last year the clown in goal lost us at least 9 pts over the season.

Hopefully we can cut out stupid mistakes (Gaels gone!) but Eboue and Diaby are still there.
We still need a defender but having TV5 back should really keep Squalachi away from the 1st team. Same goes for Ramsey keeping Denilson from playing.

That's my take on it too. Most of the errors/goals conceded last season came from:

Almunia being Almunia.

Denilson/Diaby not tackling/tracking back.

Squillaci being Squillaci.

Hopefully Chez, Rambo, Wilshere, Lansbury, Frimpong and Vermaelen will keep most of them out of the team.

If, and it's a mighty fucking if, the team stays injury free.

Once again, if players start dropping out, the quality in the team goes down exponentially with some of our squad players.

Which was the story of last year.

So what about all the boring games when we had 70% possession and no end product? No forward passing and hardly any shots on goal for countless games. Not digging you out but the mistakes by denilson, squilachi, eboue, almunia are the least of our problems

Diaby also needs to stop having fights especially against players like Barton.
And maybe Jenkinson can keep Eboue away from pushing players over in the final FUCKING MINUTES OF GAMES!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:  (rant over!)

I don't rate Lansbury. But we still need to push on and add a few.

Nah that's a fair point. But I think that's syptomatic of the system we play (walking it into the net). Denilson with his sideways passes doesn't help that either.

The most frustrating moments for me were conceding leads last season.

Problem is wenger has said he wont be changing his style. Even without denilson on the pitch we couldnt get the ball in the net becuase most teams in the prem are now superior in the war of tactics when they play us.
It was frusttrating conceding leads but so was o.o with blackburn and sunderland and the poor style of play for 90 minutes.[/quote]
