when andy murray is doing well, hes british, and when he losses hes a jock. same story here, when our boys who just happen to come from within the six counties win, their bristish. sod that, if your born in any of the 32 counties your irish. ask wossnam is he welsh or british, asky monty, is he british or a scot. mcdowell, mcillroy and clarke, have to remain neutral, as not to alienate one side of the religous devide here in the north. golf in ireland is a 32 county thing, like the cricket, rugby, (gaa, obviously) boxing and hockey. hail the 4 irish major champs.
are you saying that cascerino, townsend, houghton, and terry mancini werent irishPercy Dalton wrote:REBEL GOONER wrote:you lot always claim winners for your own![]()

i agree with you. they should represent where they are from and not be lumped into a group just because it makes the english feel better.DERRY GOONER wrote:when andy murray is doing well, hes british, and when he losses hes a jock. same story here, when our boys who just happen to come from within the six counties win, their bristish. sod that, if your born in any of the 32 counties your irish. ask wossnam is he welsh or british, asky monty, is he british or a scot. mcdowell, mcillroy and clarke, have to remain neutral, as not to alienate one side of the religous devide here in the north. golf in ireland is a 32 county thing, like the cricket, rugby, (gaa, obviously) boxing and hockey. hail the 4 irish major champs.
i never understood why there's an english national team for the world cup, but in olympics its all grouped into britain.

Derry - that's bollocks mate. He's a jock whether he loses in the first round, or loses in the semi - no differenceYankee_Gooner_Dandee wrote:i agree with you. they should represent where they are from and not be lumped into a group just because it makes the english feel better.DERRY GOONER wrote:when andy murray is doing well, hes british, and when he losses hes a jock. same story here, when our boys who just happen to come from within the six counties win, their bristish. sod that, if your born in any of the 32 counties your irish. ask wossnam is he welsh or british, asky monty, is he british or a scot. mcdowell, mcillroy and clarke, have to remain neutral, as not to alienate one side of the religous devide here in the north. golf in ireland is a 32 county thing, like the cricket, rugby, (gaa, obviously) boxing and hockey. hail the 4 irish major champs.

Yankee - Because of the formation of FIFA, and the IOC. The home countries in FIFA have the voting power of 4, and their own Associations. If there was a british team in the world cup, there would have to be a british team all the time.
