Give it a rest, have you even seen this fellah play? Its quite clear that he will be a replacement for Bendtner when he leaves. Your not going to sign a £35m striker to sit behind Van Persie are you, just a logical decision. As it happens Campbell is very very talented, Juventus, Milan and Barca are amoungst teams who had been linked with him.

Everyone seems hell bent on getting rid of Bendtner, Wenger looks into doing this and looks for a replacement in a simular mould and aparently he is all the words under the sun, make your minds up. :D

Arsenal have contacted Newcastle about signing the 25-year-old defender and they have been quoted £8million.
Arsene Wenger's first choice to replace Manchester City signing Gael Clichy remains Leighton Baines but Everton would want at least £15m. Blackburn left-back Martin Olsson, 24, is another that has come under consideration.

And now this:

The Magpies have offered the Spaniard a record-breaking new deal to stay at the club.

But with the Gunners and Liverpool both in need of a new left-back, Alan Pardew fears the defender's head has already been turned.

The Reds were thought to be leading the race to sign Enrique earlier this summer - although Pardew's latest remarks suggest it is Arsenal, who need a replacement for Man City departee Gael Clichy, who Enrique wants to join.

‘The noises coming out of Jose's camp are that he wants to get a new club playing Champions League football,’ bemoaned the frustrated Toon boss.

‘Unfortunately we can't offer him that but that seems to be his focus.

‘Hopefully that will change but we've offered him a massive contract which he does not want to sign, so it's a difficult position.

TRANSFER THIS TRENSFER THAT

Post by Herd »

It seems pretty clear to me that we have spent all we are going to spend until and unless we sell more players .

The Bendtner deal is stalling because of Nicks massive wage demands which means the club is being asked to accept less than 9 million for him,the Fabregas Deal is still there but Barca wont got above 30 million and the Nasri deal is floundering because he cant make his mind up whether to run for the money now or wait a year and command far more money . Nobody has come in for Denilson with a cash offer the best we can hope for is that he does well if hes loaned out.

This is why I would sell Nasri now to whoever for 20 million and buy a decent centre half plus a gamble on a midfielder else next year he will walk out for nothing and we will be left with fuck all to spend .

Wengers hands are tied as I've said before so like any good manager he talks up what he has,it might be annoying ,but its what u do.

That's what you believe, you don't know for sure.

A manager only has to talk up what he has while he can't do anything about it - but he's had many pre-seasons to clear out the shit and yet he has accumulated it, rather than reducing it.

Regardless of what we all may think of Wenger and his inability to see 'reality'...mancini's latest comments regarding how he intends/hopes to buy Nasri by the end of this month simply show what a Classless *word censored* act he and man shitty are...

they have all this money to spend and have already wasted huge amounts - buying players for rridiculous amounts then dumping them (okay so we've done good oout of it with toure and greedywhore etc) and now it would seem they have become the new chavs - who when abramovich first took over - threw money at everything...may it come back to haunt them the classlesscunts.

No, but you might buy a 35m striker to play alongside him?

anyway, you certainly don't look to buy an under 20 youth from a weak international footballing country, for under 1m as an understudy and seriously expect him to be able to be up to much? Jesus christ, I know we don't expect much as Gooners these days but are we resigned to signing kids for under 1m as first team squad players?

Your right I believe it, I do not know for sure any more than anybody else does except the board and wenger and they aint talking, however the signing of silvestre showed enough to me we had cash-flow problems and the lack of big signings now means that the new owner wants to recoup the massive outlay he has made.

Agreed the talent in the squad has been diluting for years and each replacement is shadow of the one before and of course in some cases they haven't been replaced.

I blame this not on wenger but peter hillwood david dein, fizman and braceyerself smith .
