The memory of '71 and '89 is always at the forefront for me when it comes to away kits, so yellow would be crucial.

I think we pretty much always had yellow in the away kit from the late '60's to mid '90s and quite a few seasons thereafter.

The new one will take some getting used to for me.

No, they looked "unusual" too!

I am a traditionalist.

Main kit should be red and white, second kit yellow and blue.
No change except for very special seasons i.e. one off 2005 - 2006 kit.

If there is a third kit then make a big point of it that it changes every other season, give design contacts out to young British designers, give them a chance to make a name for themselves.

We'd end up with something like this;

We'd be hearing 'Arsenal are wearing tank tops by Alexander McQueen, Shorts by Alice Temperley' :lol:

I think it looks better in this photo. Will end up buying it anyway
This bit says it all;

"The shirt may look like a Monaco copy, but according to Arsenal the diagonal line represents the gnomon (the pointer) which casts the shadow on a sundial - to commemorate the original Dial Square sundial on the site of the Arsenal munitions factory in Woolwich, where the Club was founded in 1886."

:roll: :roll: :roll:

Jesus christ, I honestly thought you'd made that bit up. How do they even come up with this tosh, never mind have the nerve to put it out there? :? :roll:
DB10GOONER wrote:Just in from Arsenal.con;

"Next years away shirt will be puke-yellow. To represent the drunken vomit that Merse allegedly took in the showers at our old home Highbury during the historic 1991 title season."

:-P
:lol:

Although didn't we already have that kit in '92?

“Next season’s 2011/12 away kit will be modelled on Papa Smurf’s scrotum in a subtle nod to Arsene Wenger’s blue-balls after 7 years of failing to come good.â€

Spoke to a mate yesterday who cannot wait to have the new away shirt for his birthday.

He is 38. :oops:

On the plus side, because so many teams in the PL have blue in their home shirts, we'll hardly have to use this away kit (just the once in the league by the end of 2011, by my calculations).

Means we won't turn up at Goodison Park wearing yellow, which is ridiculous quite frankly.

The yellow one grew on me last season initially thought crap but liked it in the end. Reminded me of the colour running up the spine of some players.

Liked the third kit from a few years back blue and redcurrant hoops.

first the 6.5% increase
the non-signing of the players we so desperately need
and a shyte away kit that will make Arshavin, Walcott and all the other 'tall' players in the team look like feckin' jockeys.... :roll:
