Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I would keep Eboue over Denilson ,Rosicky and Diaby what other right back cover do we have or for that matter right side defensive midfield cover .

:whee:

Eboue is a clown. An absolutely classless player. Would rather give Jenkinson a go.

Your right I believe it, I do not know for sure any more than anybody else does except the board and wenger and they aint talking, however the signing of silvestre showed enough to me we had cash-flow problems and the lack of big signings now means that the new owner wants to recoup the massive outlay he has made.

Agreed the talent in the squad has been diluting for years and each replacement is shadow of the one before and of course in some cases they haven't been replaced.

I blame this not on wenger but peter hillwood david dein, fizman and braceyerself smith .

On the contrary they have done plenty of talking....they have year after year made it very clear, there is money to spend, Wenger has backed that statement up with his own ''we could buy all but the best few players in the world, if we wanted to'' comments, and many other statements like it..
If you want to say you don't believe what they say are saying, that's fair enough but it's a lie to suggest they are keeping schtum on whether there is money to spend...cos they most certainly are not...

As for the cashflow problem suggestions....it's highly unlikely we've got cashflow problems unless of course the manager and the board have forgotten where the club bank account, bursting with cash is...
We have been carrying a large and increasing yearly, cash surplus, for at least the last three seasons...We are probably sitting on more cash now than any other top flight club in football history, it's unprecedented for a club to be sitting on this kind of cash...

There has been and there IS money to spend...of that there is no doubt, why it doesn't get spent...you can come to your own conclusion on that.. But all the indicators point to one man, he's french, he likes throwing water bottles around and he spends more time philosophising on the finances of football than he does on getting his team in order ...uhm who could that be :? :D .......

Delighted with this, and at £930,000 looks a steal, watched quite a bit of this bloke whilst playing for Costa Rica and looked a constant threat..

Can see him here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hlt6A9OCRQ Sweet left foot, very direct and loves a goal

The only place I'd keep Eboue is in a glass jar in a medical research lab. Never hated a player so much in 40 years of attending Arsenal

:D

But of course...the bank, the accountants and the tax man must be lying aswell then, cos going by their figures we have cash oozing from every orifice :D ...the money is there, someone is CHOOSING not to spend it.. Just listen to the managers relentless philosophising on the subject and it's not difficuilt to work out who it is that makes that choice....

so our policy continues, sign young, unproven talent for not unsubstantial amounts of money, loan them out for a couple of years then let them drfit away into obscurity. FFS, how about buying someone who we actually need NOW Arsenal? It wouldn't be so bad if we had a record of actually getting a few decent players out of this kind of process but our record is shite! No lessons learnt as usual. :banghead:
