Gunners capture Campbell
and ...wait for it....
'Campbell, meanwhile, is expected to be sent out on loan this season because he has not featured in 75% of the Costa Rica national team’s games, one of the requirements needed for a work permit.'
Let's sign more unknown, unproven, kids that aren't actually eligible to play for us!!

I'm relieved. When I saw the headline I thought we'd re-signed Sol. Still, hopefully his younger brother will do as well for us.
I'm with Quartz Gunner. I'm not going to complain about taking a punt on young talent (I thought Jenkinson looked a good prospect) and this kid didn't cost much.
However, we we're still desperate for a GK (surely Given at 3.5m would have been worth a punt), a CB and a Def Mid (no Frimpong isn't good enough). And a winger (or two). And a left back. Just the 5 then!

Joel Campbell deal delayed or possibly nixed, Gunnerblog suggests that despite having a medical the player's agent is trying to flog him to the highest bidder.

Yes that well known succesful system of signing ineligible players and farming them out on loan has been paying dividends for years. I mean just look at wonderboy Vela - a couple of years at Salamanca and he produces stunning 3rd round Carling Cup goals and the odd toe-poke at West Brom.RobbieVP wrote:and ...wait for it....
