Banners for the San Siro

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That is fair enough in one sense, but what if Irish fans object to the English flag, or vice versa. Or what if somebody decides to wave a Japanese flag and a Chinese guy gets upset?

The fact of the matter is that a person decided to bring a flag thagt he loves. There should be no harm in that. After all, nearl every nation has been involved in one atrocity or another. If you felt so strong just bring a Greek flag.
I understand what you are saying, but in another sense the political situation of cyprus and turkey is alot different to that of the irish/english and japanese/chinese.

How the fuck is it different ? Are you telling me that is was ok for the english army to invade Ireland all those years ago taking lands and killing thousands of Irish people in the process :?:   There are many that will argue to this day that england still owns Irish lands(northern ireland) so again how is that any different :?: I dont know all about your countries history but I find it deeply annoying that you think you are qualified to talk about my country or indeed any other country that has lived through conflict and war in their history

Put simply there is no place for politics or religon in any sport and when I go to the grove I see myself as a Gooner not an Irishman - perhaps you should do something similar 8)

Totally agree with Augie. To suggest that there is a difference between the subject at hand and the Irish/English angle is complete bollocks and shows a complete lack of understanding of British history. I read this shite last night while at work so couldn't post then (my employer is not quite so understanding as others)

I think all the above proved why the club were rigth to ban flags. personally I want to watch the game and having been stood behind some twat with a huge flag at an interantional game and could see fuck all every time he waved the f..ing thing.

lets have banners to hang over the front but not waved. How about one for Dudu.
