If true (and it sounds more than f*cking believable!) then that is the most f*cked up logic of the summer. What other club would allow a Manager to do that.....frankbutcher wrote:The rumour on the Herd site is that Gazidis agreed a deal with Bolton for Cahill two months ago. Apparently the deal was struck in a face-to-face meeting at a hotel in Doncaster......Wenger has since decided that the offer is too high, and has walked away from the deal.
It is Wenger fucking everything up!
SACK THE PRICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That just sums Wenger up, offering £2 million less when an offer has already been rejected, Wenger really is a fucking *word censored*, how anybody can back the *word censored* now is beyond belief, especially if the rumours about Cahill are true as wellMK Gould wrote:He offers £10m for a player on a 4 year contract.....having had a £12m offer rejected last season when the player was virtually out of contract.
It beggars belief and really does give me a bad feeling that for all the rumours we will end up falling just a few million short of getting anyone to address our gaps.
Can't believe that we're fast approaching the start of the new season and we've still not addressed any of the seemingly agreed shortfalls from the last, have lost a key player and may still lose two more..... Unbelievable and, if things go the way we think, unforgiveable!
Wouldn't disagree with your theory but my fear would be that it would say to Cahill or Samba that they are not first choice and put either of them off joining. A bit like Fabregas should realise that he isn't Barca's priority.StuartL wrote:My theory is that the Jagielka bid was made knowing full well that it would be rejected, as a bit of a wake up to Blackburn and Bolton re Samba and Cahill.
Basically saying there are other options out there if you don't reduce the asking price.
Trouble is Wenger will end up missing out on all 3 by fart arsing about and trying save a quid or two.
Be bold Arsene - make your mind up who you want and offer the amount that clinches the deal and get it done ffs.
ps It isn't your money
If this comes out as being fact rather than rumour then Wenger has to go, that is insane...it is not Wengers money out his own pocket and neither is he a member of the bloody board, he is the manager, to manage the team, to try and bring in the best players available and win the club trophies. Why on earth would you tell the board that the money they are offering is too much, it sounds absolutely mad so I am hoping that this is just a crazy rumour.frankbutcher wrote:The rumour on the Herd site is that Gazidis agreed a deal with Bolton for Cahill two months ago. and he promised loads of activity in MayWenger is a :awnker:
If the press state that Wenger has offered for Jagielka and it has been turned down, people slag him off for a derisory bid, not praise him for the fact he is attempting to sign a center back. Do people really think that Jagielka is worth £20million?
How can Wenger complain about Barca when he makes derisory bids himself? I still think its a token bid for Jagielka so that in a month or so's time when the window is shut he can say see i tried. As i said he is a :awnker: Jagielka may not be worth the money but if we really want him pay the going rate you dont bid less than last year
It is Wenger fucking everything up!
SACK THE PRICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's tough enough being from south london, supporting Arsenal and working on merseyside, without wenger making such a piss poor bid for jagielka. He's made us a laughing stock. The grief i got from the bluenoses today was incredible. Just like our back four, i just couldn't defend it today.GoonerN5 wrote:That just sums Wenger up, offering £2 million less when an offer has already been rejected, Wenger really is a fucking c**t, how anybody can back the c**t now is beyond belief, especially if the rumours about Cahill are true as wellMK Gould wrote:He offers £10m for a player on a 4 year contract.....having had a £12m offer rejected last season when the player was virtually out of contract.
