Bought a house...smashes a hole and found....

Decided to knock a wall down in the new house me and the missus just bought.....and make a passageway from main bedroom to kitchen ( bedroom is on ground floor.....bricked up section of house.....behind the plaster.....sensational


found a rack full of wine.....fucking shedloads of bottles....59 bottles of red, 74 bottles of white and 16 bottles of champers....

oh and the dates were 1954 thru to 1967

I dont drink but....what you reckon.....?

Do i sell or do i let missus drink it?

Sammy - that stash could be worth a few quid or could be just a good party !!

Thing to do is contact a local wine merchant and get him to call around and check what its worth. Dont start doing anything mad like shaking the bottles to see whats in them etc. Preferably leave in original spot or at least on their side if thats the way they were. Am no wine expert, but i'll bet its worth a few quid for anyone to go to the trouble of collecting them in the first place.

Yes Rossie my thoughts exactly. We opened a bottle of 1959 chateau Mouton Rothschild....tasted amazing. Looked it up on a merchants site...they go for £2600 these days :shock:
