[quote="frankbutcher"][quote="AFCWozza"][quote="frankbutcher"][quote="AFCWozza"]If you honestly believe that Gazidis struck a deal with Gary Cahill in a hotel in the last month of the season your even more mental than you believe Wenger is.

As i said in my previous post, he has a bit of class, and we as a club have a bit of class. The statements from his press conference..

“Certainly, we will have to find one more defender,â€

On the Beebs Footie website....according to Nasri - he had agreed (Verbally) to sign a new contract back last October...BUT the club failed to get back to him with the 'Official Agreement' and so we now face losing him....you'd think te club would have learned after the Flamini fiasco!

wenger has said that only 1 more player is coming in and thats a cb.

No new cf or any attacking additions.

We are weaker than last year by fucking loads and that even if cahill comes.

Clichy, denilson, eboue , barry , cesc and maybe nasri out

gervy a child and maybe a cb in

wenger deserves to suffer if this happens. I hate the *word censored* soooo fucking much

How the hell are we weaker attacking wise when we have lost no attackers and added Miyaichi, Gervinho and Vela.

We have lost Clichy, Denilson and Probably Eboue (Who has been replaced by Jenkinson) Almunia and Bendtner.

Frimpong missed the whole of last season and will give us extra cover for Song, the signing of a center back is imperative and will bolster the squad big time.

Not once has Wenger said that only 1 more defender would be signed, he said that “Certainly, we will have to find one more defender,â€

Arsene must be proud of his children.

So Vela who was not part of the squad for the second part of last season is not an addition to the attacking part of the team? Not a new signing, but he is an addition, and adding him will certainly not make us weaker?

I look forward to Denilson coming back from his loan spell as well then....another addition!

This is bullsh*t! If I joined would that be an addition? NO! We've seen Vela play for Arsenal.....believe me, HE IS NO ADDITION!!!!!

The Cahill rumours can be rubbished because there's no way on god's green earth you would go to Doncaster voluntarily

Have you honestly seen Vela play? He has buckets of talent, was much highly rated that Hernandez in the Mexico camp, he is skillful, quick and certainly knows how to finish. Scored in both our pre-season games so far, is clearly a striker so should not be played on the left of a front 3 all the time.

As this shows he knows how to finish, he needs a proper chance at Arsenal he could be QUALITY

Two months to sign a cb! I've seen glaciers move faster than our negotiating team. Wenger is known to be a ditherer. He should be taken out (literally perhaps some of our irish contingent may know someone) of the equation when it comes to negotiating. Back again to the David Dein argument.

Someone wrote the other day about the stages of negotiating copy and paste and send it to wenger

Unless, perhaps, you were planning to put on a Mafia-based theatrical production and were searching for someone to play the role of 'the head of the family'? :?

I think you are falling into the Wenger trap of believing that quantity is the same as quality. Let's be clear, the reason why Vela is back is not because he is quality but more to do with the fact that no one else wants him (like so many other of our players). It always amused me when Wenger used to defend his lack of activity in the transfer market for a quality midfielder by stating "but we have Denilson and Diaby, we cannot play them all". Another example of confusing quality with quantity.

“One more defenderâ€

iWe offered the asking price of £16M for Phil Jones, but he didn't want to leave the land of rain & mushy peas so Joined the Mancs.

The asking price for Cahill is £17M, surely we must have the odd million quid lying about somewhere within the souless bowl(check down the back of the plush club level seats)

Last year Schwarzer(£1M), the year before Alonso( an earth shattering £2M)....anyone see a pattern developing ?

Why does it matter who is or isn't at Arsenal from last season? Last season we were woefully short on quality and nowhere near good enough to win the PL title. Unless he signs NEW quality players, we will be even worse off this season. Thomas is right, Wenger is banging on about having a 'massive squad' already.....yes Arsole, a massive squad of mediocrity who are simply not good enough.
Wenger out!
