TRAINERS.........THE BEST EVER!

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

TRAINERS.........THE BEST EVER!

Post by Percy Dalton »

I have just secured myself a pair of trainers that I forgot about from my youth..........Diadora Borg Elite Gold made from kangaroos!

As a lover of old school proper trainers without air bags in them I was wondering what you guys wear?

Yes, I am drunk and this short thread has taken me 20 minutes to write.

Have mostly worn Nike over the years, find them the most comfortable.

Nike Free 5.0's.

They're in horrible shape now, but are so comfy; really versatile shoe I wear to work and football. Lightest shoe I've ever picked up though, and I sold footwear for two years :P

I really really need some new kicks though. I just can't find any sneakers that I like sadly. Would love a pair of white ones but the local weather means white is a few-times-a-year luxury and a pain-in-the-ass to clean every other day.

This book is really good reading, has potted history of trainers back to the 1960's, tons of anecdotes, and loads of photos of popular and rare trainers up to late 1980's.

How about these for the snowy winter over in Canada? They look like they'll last a while.

Have been an Adidas man most of my life(Samba, Stan Smith,Wimbledon, Gazelle, Forest Hills) but...for sheer comfort , New Balance trainers take some beating.

lol I thought we were talking sneakers, not boots :P

Although with the high ankle and the material, they actually WOULD be pretty good for the winter...

I usually just wear my rather ventilated Free's in the winter though, hence their rapid destruction. Makes for cold feet, but that toughens you up I say 8)
