Anybody thinking that forlan is past it should look at this match - when they were a man down he never stopped running and was doing really well at holding the ball up to allow support to get up to him. Forlan would def be up near the very top of the list of strikers I would like to see signed this summer 8)
Forlan is a brilliant player and still going very strong despite being on the wrong side of 30.

Uruguay deserved it. They showed incredible pride and determination. I thought they were done after the sending off but what resilience and mental strength.

One player that has impressed me a lot in this tournament is Colombia's Fredy Guarin. Sheer quality. We could do far worse than to sign him although I can't see him wanting to join a declining club especially after coming off a trophy laden year with Porto.

Come on Peru! 8)

Great to see them in the semi finals. I went there last September, and loved the place. The Amazon, The Andes, Machu Picchu, etc. - amazing, beautiful country.

Anyway, they'll clearly get knocked out now, so hopefully Uruguay can win it! :barscarf:

But not the US Women today - if you watched that it had to be terribly familiar. Actually the second girl pulled a bit of a Roberto Baggio

Two of brazil's penalties must have cleared the stadium roof  You would have to believe that uruguay will win this now especially after chile also lost last night

Uruguay vs. Paraguay in the final.

Funny how these were also the 2 best teams from S. America in the World Cup.

It has to be frustrating watching ARG/BRA get so much attention when Uruguay in particular has proven themselves as one of the powerhouses of the region in the last few years. Hopefully the Copa proves it hasn't been flukes.

Found this copa america to be really disappointing. Good to see uruguay in final as thought they were unlucky at the world cup, hope they win it. They'll be dark horses for 2014 world cup in brazil, which coincidently was the country in which they won their 2nd jules rimet trophy.

I've always thought that Uruguay sounds like someone really pissed trying to be sick.

You know the one - arms round the bog and bits of kebab all down the front of the shirt.
