Why we should tell Barcelona to go f*ck themselves....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

only clubs with good managers and ambition do this

its amazing we dont have clauses but its arsene's arsenal so his rules
Yes. But who would set the value?

I know for a fact that the reason we didn't sign Gokhan Inler was that his agent wanted a release clause. The release clause was too low - allegedly - meaning that if Inler played well then he could go for less than he might have been worth the following season, for example.

It's a tricky one, because if the release clause is too high then the player might not sign, because he doesn't want to be stuck at the Club. Although saying that, if the player can't commit to signing for The Arsenal 'for life' then he probably isn't what we are looking for.
