Copa America

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nobody likes a smart arse

From the bits I have watched in the tournament I have to say that uruguay looked the best team in it and played really well when they knocked out the argies 8) Everytime I see forlan play I am more convinced that he is exactly the type of player we lack up front - tireless unselfish runner who is good at holding up the ball and is a real predator around the goals 8)

On a different note I am glad to see cynical fouling is still alive and well in south america  I am no big fan of referee's but it must be nigh on impossible to referee over there as cynical foul follows cynical foul which prevents the game to develop any kind of flow to it :x

You have to like Uruguay's heart. Forlan and Suarez just don't stop running, and the whole team plays with a unity and urgency that a lot of teams (*cough* Arsenal) lack in the modern game.
