Gervinho i beleive is a great signing

Way way WAY too early to pass any judgement on Gervinho. I remember Reyes - looked outstanding for a few months and then fade. The same may well be said of Chamakh - I am giving him another season to see if he can improve.

I think the big problem is down to Wenger and the type of players he aqquires. He used to buy passionate strong willed players like Vieira, but now he seems to go for the characterless mentally weak types. Wenger thinks he can mould these players to play his way - and he has be become too obsessed with it (no doubt Marty blames the board). And he has become so stubborn that when it doesn't work he refuses to rectify the situation - hence the likes of Denilson, Diaby, Rosicky & Eboue being at the club for so long. Hence why Song is still first choice in our midfield.

This I believe is why Wenger is hesitating buying a dedicated centreback - his ego is telling him to find an unknown player that's not even a centreback and convert him. All ego.

Sad that it's come to this but seeing as it looks like a majority of our useless tossers will still be at the club, then I would have to agree.

That's unfortunate as we know that our manager thinks that Drogba "didn't do that much..."
