Jay emanuel thomas to Ipswich - this is a weird 1 to me
His atttidue at the end of hi stint at Cardiff was terrible and he never really shone.
A lot of people having a go at the youth set up but when was the last timea top club actually developed anyone to Jack's level? United 'youth' since the golden era has been shit for instance. The fact we have Jack and Shez is achievement enough. Gibbs if he comes on.
All the players had talent, but maybe just didn't develop how they should have.

If you put as much emphasis on youth as we have, then it should back you up.rigsby wrote:His atttidue at the end of hi stint at Cardiff was terrible and he never really shone.

If not, then spend some fucking money.
Exactly. Just like the class of 2001 (FA Youth Cup winners)....lets see where JET and his chums are in 10 years time. Plying their trades in the Blue Square South with the odd League One player thrown in for good measure is my bet.marcengels wrote:If you put as much emphasis on youth as we have, then it should back you up.rigsby wrote:His atttidue at the end of hi stint at Cardiff was terrible and he never really shone.

Yet Arsene will still be living on the back of the myth of his great youth project in 2021

JET playing well at Donny and getting booed at Cardiff is not going to make it at Arsenal. We need to match our rivals and buy a few established players to blend with the youth. The problem with the Reserve set up is that it has become a youth team set up. Youngsters need to play alongside old pros and against them. That's how you learn the game and the discipline you need to be a pro. Imagine playing alongside a Sol or Keown in the ressies and what they could teach you. Unfortunately, you play with the kids who are not on loan or in the first team and worse you play against some established pros on the opposition who often give you a beating. See Reserves record last year!

The Club is rotten from top to bottom.Rad wrote:Oh yeah, forgot to say megalomaniac Wenger put reserves out against Stevenage Saturday. According to my spy the team played just like the first team but bored the pants off Stevo by passing it to death with no end product. Apparently the Arsenal keeper played a blinder _ that's a first!

What a wanker Wenger is. "Right foot, left foot, unbelievable....unbelievable".arsenalpricey wrote:This is what Arsene said him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRWCY6u_ATE

Must admit did expect a lot from the 2008/09 reserve squad but it's a misnomer
.Wenger putting a lot of emphasis on youth etc i think this shoots it to pieces with also rumours that Rhys murphy is going, not a very good record for a manager who constantly bleats on about youth development, planning for the future and not buying quality as it would ''kill there career's'' when he has only developed TWO players in 13years
when previous managers have brought through a group i;e Brady, stapleton,Rix,Price etc....Rocastle,Thomas,Merson,Adams etc and Wenger...mmmm Cole and Jack....?.

the only answer must be that wenger places to much importance on the likes of merida, vela, barry etc in other words the foriegn "masters to be".on the other hand it must be quiet a tidy side line bunging out these misfits for a mill a time.i dont want to slag off the yoof set up as it is run by the greatest afc plyer in living memory ,but its obvious surely ,one halfway tasty product in what is it now 10-15 years? that aint a good return is it.we've got the pick of the kids in the biggest catchment area in the country and at the moment the likes of lorient and valencia are turning out more prospects.

Did anyone see the footage of him on SSN of JET turning up at Ipswich with 5 of his entourage in tow? Looking like a bunch of hoodlums.
The boy has talent but not the right attitude ; Witness his McLaren Mercedes sports car purchased before his first team debut.
I think there is a touch of the 'David Bentley' about him, so I look forward to Spurs spunking £15m on him in a few years time..........
