I think it's clear the Board did nothing illegal in any istance at least that we know of and that there is noting really that is likely even raise the question of any criminal conduct on anyone's part. Nobody stole anything.
Having said that that does not make what the Board did or how they did it right or honourable or in the best interests of Arsenal Football Club.
But I think it's important not to deliberately mis-cast or mis-represent anyone or their actions willfully when there is no reasonr or justification to do so. Again we should be conmcerned solely with what is best for Arsenal here, no one else.

That's just it Deise - it's not for any of us here to answer them . We all ouught too want to ask them because the more of us who are willing to ask them the more likely we get answers and the more likely we get more serious answers or even the answers we actually want and need.Deise Gooner wrote:Exactly! Do you seriously think that any iindividual Gooner will get any sort of serious sincere answers to anything? Look at the BS Gazidzis feeds the AST? Ivan Gazidis could make telling you are probably drowning right niow seems less deaedful. But he won't give you a way to save your life if you ask him to be specific.
The point is we have to raise the concerns enough either to get the Club to respond to us or get the media to put them on the sopt woth those concerns. That won't happen through individual or small groups of determined Gooners and bloggers. It's gone past that point already.

Thats the sad thing Martin, we are the lifeblood of the football club but it seems that nobody listens to us as shown by the AST and BSM etc. We will probably never get the answers that we deserve and that is why so many people on here dont want to ask them or get involved in movements because we will run into the PR machine and our voice will be muffled. That is not to say that there are journalists out there that are would take interest in your points and pursue them further.USMartin wrote:That's just it Deise - it's not for any of us here to answer them . See I agree to some extent but I don;'t think the medai which latch onto one gooner in the U.S. no matter or one rank-and-file Gooner in London either.
I think the we need a large volume-movement because that is what will get media attention.A single letter with 5000-10000 signatures from Gooners, or 5000-10000 different letters from Gooners stating the same exact message. things like that.
Have people at thee AGM raising questions about these things, have people ask the Board questions diresctly outside Highbury House, things like this, will get the media curious enough to look further at this. That scrutiny of these actions was the one weapon we ever had and itys the one weapon we have now short of options I don't want to contemplate any more than anyone else if it's up to me.
It won't be easy but this is the only real middle-gorund option we have or had or will have.

Martin,
Despite me not asking what you think of the board and what you think needs to be done, you've gone and told me anyway, and in the process, ignored what I felt was pretty honest and sincere advice. I'm not offended. It makes zero difference to me. However, it does leave me wondering whether you truly are a wind-up merchant, after all.
I'm happy to give you the benefit of the doubt, though. With that in mind, I'd like to propose something to you; now, I know a 'USMartin board thread' sticky has been mooted and has actually been tried before, but I feel that, if you're not going to listen to any constructive ciriticism (blog, Twitter, facebook, etc.), then I'd like to suggest it again. The reason being that you will, despite what anyone says to you, hammer your propaganda into any thread that you deem fit, whether about the board or not. You may not see it as such, but it's nothing more than spamming.
Now, you're probably thinking, "yeah, but if you don't like my posts, then don't read them," and in threads that you've started, that's fair enough. But if I were to start a thread about something non-board related and you came in bleating on about the board, which led the discussion down that path because there are certain people on this forum who cannot resist taking the bait, then I'd be pretty annoyed.
Or maybe you're thinking, "yes, but I can't think of any matter more important in regards Arsenal Football Club. Therefore, people NEED to read/hear what I have to type/say," and although this would be quite narcissistic, I would tend to agree that it is an important matter. However, you simply cannot force people to read or to discuss what they don't want to (for whatever reason). You seem to think that you have a mandate which obliges you to dominate any thread you like in the name of your agenda. I can assure you that you don't.
So, back to my thread idea. Given that I want what is best for this forum, and I don't want to commit to the idea that you're simply a WUM, what do you think about the idea? I'll set it up and I'll personally moderate it. Any silly, off-topic stuff (you know who you are!), personal attacks and insults will be deleted. If you like, you can even have a strict set of rules for the thread. It will give people who actually WANT to discuss this with you a place to do it seriously, whilst leaving people who want to talk about tits and transfers alone to do that, safe in the knowledge that their thread won't turn into a sermon about how the Hill-Woods are the spawn of Satan, and such.
This will be the last time I reach out to you. You should give this some thought. I'm sincere when I say that I don't mind taking sole responsibility for the thread. No other mods will have to waste their time on it. Of course, you don't have to go with it, and you can carry on doing what you're doing, but I'm not sure whether other mods or other forum members will be willing to be as accommodating.
If you're interested, PM me or reply on here and we can work together to set it up. If not, then that's also fine. I will then stay out of this and leave you to it.

Look Martin, nothing was stolen, the old Board has gone, and The Arsenal still exist.
This is my last post on the subject until something changes.
And Martin, you really should learn to take advice. It's been given for years. It always goes the same way, you come onto a forum, your initial posts are met with mild interest from a few, you then go completely mental, until your original point becomes such a pain in the arse that even the people that were responsive towards the point change their minds.
There'll be a few that sympathise with you, and will try and help, or suggest solutions, like your own thread or your own place on the forum, but the rest will turn into an angry mob and you will be banned - for the good of the Forum.
No different here, and your 'Board' theory and your posting style will turn into a standing joke, that will be raised intermittently until it is just a bad memory.
The OLD BOARD has gone, whatever Arsenal.com have on their website.
Non-executive director means FUCK ALL. That's what they are. 'Tokens'.
It's over.
The 'bad' Board sold their shares for a profit, which is legal. They moved on.
I really suggest you do the same.
It is not a topic anymore.
Seriously my last post on the Board.
Tony I will PM you on your prosopal but I do have to ask a question on here - why are all sorts vitriolic ad-himenm attacks of the manager or claims with little or no factual basis at all about the manager and his policies perfectly valid posts in these same threads in which posts that suggest another party mat be the problem such as mine unacceptable? Why is that?tonysaunders wrote:Martin,

Why should this forum endorse what could be honest but inaccurate analysis or even deliberate efforts to delude honest Gooners as to what the problems are at Arsenal and what their solutions might be perfectly legitimate in those same threads? How does that make sense? I think I am entitled to that much at least no? That is exactly what is happening on here now and if I accept your proposal what I will be signing off on, and if I am going to sign off on it I think I am entitled to know why no one as objective and reasoned as you have shown youerself to be would have no problem with that.
Shit I missed Wilfred and have to miss it again cause Tha Battle of Algiers is starting soon...gotta fix my DVR soon...

Martin,
You are either a WUM, or incredibly stupid. Which one is it?

But as I posted earlier I'll agree they're pwans or tokens or figureheads or Stanley's Slaves or FOEs (Friends of Enos). Fair play probably some truth to it too.
What happens if Mr Kroenke's personal accountants advise him he can't pay back the German creditors who loaned the money he took over Arsenal with without a new revenue stream and the only one available would be taking a dividend from Arsenal. What do you think the new good Board will do then? Will they do what's right for Arsenal?
