1. How do you think the team will do if Fabregas leaves for Barcelona, and Mata and Jagielka are signed?
2. How do you think the team will do if Nasri goes instead, and Mata and Jagielka are signed?
3. What happens if we sign these players, plus maybe one more of similar level (yeah right) , and yet we still start the season badly. Is the pressure still on Wenger with protests etc or does that ease.
For me.
1. If Fabregas does go and we sign Jag and Mata, I believe under Wenger the team will still fall out of the top 4. Neither have the top level experience, and it leaves a gaping hold in midfield.
2. Nasri going for me, especially if its abroad, will have no real impact on the team if Mata comes in. Very similar players arguably Mata is better.
3. I cant at this point see is ever having success under Wenger again, this team is rotten to the core. These signings touted really do not change anything for me. I could see 2 losses in the first 3 games.

My answers....
1) If Cesc goes then i can see our creativity drop and even though young he is still a highly experienced premier league player,so we have to change our tactic's and formation(dreaming)to accommodate the inexperienced league players coming in but expect to drop to 5th or 6th.
2)I think Nasri been played out of position(no surprise) but has gone missing for half a season so no change really if Mata comes in.
3)Said many a time unless Wenger rectifies our defensive and D/M weaknesses, which he hasn't done for 3 seasons now,we win fuck all while he remains manager.

1.We will do better, 11 players busting a gut is better than 9, while we may lose a bit of creating chances we will gain in being stronger at the back meaning we will not need to score 3 or 4 a game to win, 1 will do, Cesc and Nasri are no good to anyone if they are not 100% Arsenal.
2. As above.
3.The pressure won't be the same, he would have done what was required with regards to spending money, Cesc and Nasri going is inevitable, if he don't spend then the pressure is on, if he does he buys himself time.

1) We have to find a new way of playing to make up for the loss of our playmaker though Mata is a very good young player. We are still defensively disorganised and I'm not entirely sure about Jagelkia in possession, I would put us down as dropping out of top 4 then forum wide curses as Nasri leaves on free.
2) We easily replace Nasri with the wide players we currently have. The money we get isn't spent but with Cesc's ability in midfield, might just see us keep top 4 ahead of Liverpool. Only just, since we defend badly again.
3) I think Wenger is trapped in a downward spiral now, I believe the players have lost confidence in him and if things go bad, mostly because we don't defend properly, it will become more and more obvious. Unless we sort out the defence, pressure is still on and will increase if things don't start well.

1.) Just about scrape 4th.
2.) Just about scrape 4th.
3.) Pressure stays on Wenger.
We need silverware, or at least to show we are seriously challenging for the title.
