SIGN KEOWN UP AS DEFENSIVE COACH

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Keown was saying something along the lines of - its not just getting new defenders in, that it was changing the attitude and the way the current ones defend aswell positioning etc.

Maybe he is angling for a job.

Didn't Ashley Cole say after he elft us that players like Senderos used to storm off when Keown bollocked them and Pat Rice told him not to act like that towards them (I fucking hate Pat Rice)

I can't understand why none of the old boys are back coaching there. Get Nigel in to work with the full backs, get Keown in there. And bring Tony Fucking Adams back home as his No.2

Heard something similar about Keown/Senderos, although I'm not sure Pat Rice is to blame. If anything that would have been under Wenger's instruction as he didn't like his precious players either giving or taking stick. Perhaps that's the reason why he didn't offer Martin a coaching role at the club after 2006.

Myles Palmer reckoned the massive difference between Keowns views on ESPN from Saturday to Sunday suggested he had been got at by people at the club.

Keown to be honest signifies so much that we are missing, but Wenger will never offer him a job as he may have a go at one of our pampered *word censored* from time to time. Fuck sake.

Keown said on Saturday that Djourou is not good enough for Arsenal.

Ah yes of course it does. Not that the whole point of my argument was to seriously change our defensive set up. And of course I also added how it was all Pat Rice's fault and Wenger wasn't too blame, I certainly didn't just point out they I didn't like Pat Rice and then go on to defend our great leader. Well done for pointing it out. Cheers.

I just dont believe Pat Rice is too blame for anything . Even if he isnt up to the job, Wenger decides really if he is replaced.

I didn't say he was. I just don't like him.
