Gallas

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Although the final score was not what we wanted I think we need to calm down a bit and remember that the boys were probably in shock about Ed so think maybe we shouldn't be so hard on them and instead of blaming Gallas for being upset etc we should focus on Ed and his recovery...moving forward and concentrating on future games and Arsenal as a club need to make sure Taylor pays for what he did today!

I fully agree with Gallas' actions, and he had every right to be pissed off. The only thing he needs to remember is that although he's won league titles before, his younger colleagues haven't, so every now and then, mistakes will be made. But when Clichy, Adebayor, Bendtner and Hleb are all fucking around, then I'm perfectly in agreement with his behaviour. If he'd just walked off the pitch and shrugged his shoulders, then I actually would be pissed off.

It's amusing that Henry was dubbed 'le sulk part deux' and accused of being an arrogant bastard, but I can only imagine the kind of comments he would've received had it have been he who did this today.

It shows how much he wanted the win, I am glad that he is disgusted and disappointed, he feels like I do
I don't agree, I think he could end up in the cell next to Gazza if he carries on with that kind of behaviour.

That wasn't the behaviour expected from a captain, he could have risked a red card for booting that hoarding with such ferocity. He's got a yellow out of it which could risk a suspension later on. It's similar behaviour that showed why Henry wasn't up to the captaincy, I couldn't imagine Tony Adams, Vieira or Sansom behaving in such a way.

As for the result - it's not too catastrophic though three without a win, and made hard work of Blackburn. We lost 45 minutes of action also after Eduardo's injury, it's fair to say that today was out of the ordinary.

Hate to say it, but fair play to him. I hope he gives Clichy a good fucking talk in the dressing room. Same to that lazy twat Bendtner. Honestly, a winner against Spurs does not make you a great player. Pull your socks up :x
What did Bendtner do wrong apart from keep waiting for passes from Adebayor that never came his way?

I think part of Gallas reaction was to get away from the ref in case he got himself sent off. I have no problem with him being pissed off, his tears at the end show what he really feels about not winning - I was nearly doing the same thing in between swearing and kicking things.

As for that hairy *word censored* Keys slagging him on Sky, he needs to remember that he is the presenter not the expert. I am writing ot Sky to complain about him, I suggest you all do the same.

I've wondered for years exactly how Richard Keys is employed. His presenting is abysmal, and his football 'expertise' is non-existant. He's Andy Gray's bitch, in that he's constantly corrected by him, and is made to look inferior by almost every guest. He must be fucking the right person, the unevolved piece of shit.

ALTHOUGH I LOVE GALLAS, THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY FROM IT THAT HIS ACTIONS TODAY SHOWED HIM IN A BAD LIGHT. I'M ALL FOR SHOWING PASSION BUT WHEN IT'S DONE IN A MANNER WHICH DOESN'T SHOW A GOOD EXAMPLE TO THE YOUNGER PLAYERS IN THE TEAM, IT CAN BE COUNTER-PRODUTIVE.

IT ALSO GIVES THE SLAGS IN THE MEDIA ANOTHER REASON TO CALL US PETULANT, SPOILT AND BAD LOSERS. AND AS MUCH AS IT HURTS ME TO SAY SO, WE ARE IN DANGER OF COMING ACROSS JUST LIKE THAT TO OTHERS BY OUR ACTIONS. HEARING WENGER'S POST-MATCH COMMENTS JUST NOW, I CAN SEE WHERE A LOT OF THE PLAYERS ARE TAKING THEIR LEAD FROM.

COMING ON THE BACK OF HIS LUCKY ESCAPE LAST WEEK FOR KICKING NANI, YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT GALLAS MIGHT HAVE LEARNT HIS LESSON. IT ALSO GIVES THE FA A REASON TO ACT - AFTER THE CRITICISM THEY RECEIVED LAST WEEK - SO DON'T BE SURPRISED IF OUR 'CAPTAIN' ENDS UP WITH A CHARGE OF UNGENTLEMANLY CONDUCT. WITH TOURE OUT, WHERE WILL THAT LEAVE US? EXACTLY!!
