There's no way 3-4 of this present squad would make the invincibles, who do you think they are anyway? I think only Cesc would make THE SQUAD, and that's it.

Hmmm, well yes you've quoted all first team regulars from this era and then quoted 6 players who hardly played a game in The Invincibles season... let's face it Q.G., the first team players that are playing 30-40 games for us now, would hardly get a sniff of any first team action during that season and I think that shows how far we've fallen behind.

You made a point of saying current players would not even make the SQUAD, you did not mention the first team.

If it is first choice first team then I agree with you, Cesc would in my opinion be better than Gilberto, and that's it.
The rest would make the bench.


As for Diarra I am goign to defend Wenger on that one.
Diarra was creating trouble at the training ground, badmouthing Wenger to other players to the extent it was annoying the other players and so he was sold on.

It can equally be argued that Diarra just had to sit tight for the second half of the season, he was getting games anyway sometimes in midfield sometimes at right back. There was no way he was going to dislodge Flamini considering the form Flamini was in, but the next season Diarra should have been a shoe in next to Cesc.

Shall we have that argument all over again

Thats not the point though is it? If there is a deal in plce then that would scupper Barca's chance of playing him in the Champs lge. The point is we havent recvd the right offer. Hence yes ofcourse he has to play

If there is a deal in place you can be sure that him not playing will be part of that deal. If there isn't a deal in place then he will stay assuming that we get through, although if we don't get through then he'll bugger off anyway.

The last few years have been littered with negligence, that's what Wenger is guilty of, not sabotage.

The Flamini/Diarra situation was handled pathetically. Wenger should have said to Flamini 6 months before the end of the season that he either signs a new contract or sits on the bench for the rest of the season and Diarra plays. That's a win win situation for Arsenal and we end up with one or the other being our regular CM.

Wengers continued refusal to address the defensive problems over the course of YEARS is negligent. In any other business, a manager who refuses to address the main issue causing his 'team' to fail would be sacked or at worst taken to one side and given an ultimatum.

To reward under-performing, below average players with extremely lucrative contracts to breed 'loyalty' is disgraceful and shows a real lack of respect for the club. Wenger wants his players to love him because it constantly strengthens his position and has led to the 'if Wenger leaves so will our best players' comments over the last few years......which we all now know is such a joke because most are completely fed up anyway.

I can't be arsed to go on, but just to say that on top of the above, the bare faced lies that the man has told over the last few years shows UTTER disrespect and contempt for the fans of Arsenal football club and when you couple those lies with the comments such as how 'if you haven't worked in football you don't know what you are talking about', for me the man is nothing more than a disgrace, a fraudster, a liar and a fool.
