Doubt it.Bring Back Pires wrote:Has there been any consideration to the fact that Taylor may have had some kind of 'bung' deal with someone related to Man Utd? I know it may sound quite far-fetched, but recent happenings in Serie A and those exposed by BBC suggest that the game is full of crooks. Could this be anything of the same nature?
Eduardo wasn't as consistant as Adebayor, if United wanted someone's leg broken that's who they'd do.
This was just a cuntish tackle, plain and simple.

Or Theo through the middle, after today's showing.S.O.S RVP save our season
tch!
it is hard to take in, I thought he was gonna come good for us, the Wengerite patience would have paid dividends once again with Eddie banging them in as the season drew to a close.
Only seems like yesterday he was hailed as the new Gerd Muller through these pages.
It's instances like this that actually gives me sympathy for the divers. You could call what they do cheating, but what is it when a useless *word censored* tries to kick someone out of the game. And some of the best players are the worst divers.

Wenger is dead right when he says this is a symptom of the theory that 'you should kick Arsenal as they don't like the physical approach". The last time I remember a serious injury from this type of tackle was also an Arsenal player with Diaby at Sunderland. I hope and pray that Eduardo can make the same recovery, but I fear not.
i wasnt saying that 3 matches for taylor is justice,, it isnt and if i had my way the prick wouldnt be left play again till eddie does,, but take off the gooner glass's for a minute and think ,, davis was more then likely a racist reation but 2 wrongs dont make a right,, he walked up to him and threw a blind punch and broke his jaw,, he was lucky it was only 9 gamesCus Geezer wrote:Steady on!paul davis wasnt hard done by,, he put in a sneaky punch and broke his jaw,, 9 matches should have been more
Suspension - yes, but nine matches for that? That's nearly a quarter of a season.
Taylor's fucked a player's career. If Eduardo does come back, it's more than likely he won't be the player he was. He'll get three or four matches suspended at the most.
Where's the justice?

I THOUGHT INITIALLY FROM THE SKY CAMERA ANGLE THAT EDDY NICKED THE BALL PAST TAYLOR AND JUST SLIGHTLY GOT CAUGHT BY THE CENTRE-HALF. IT CERTAINLY DIDN'T APPEAR THAT MALICIOUS TO ME. HOWEVER, HAVING SEEN THE DIFFERENT PICTURES ON HERE YOU CAN TELL IT WAS AN AWFUL HIGH TACKLE WITH STUDS SHOWING.
HAVING SAID THAT, NO-ONE BUT TAYLOR HIMSELF KNOWS WHETHER HE MEANT TO HURT EDUARDO INTENTIONALLY, AND I'M POSITIVE THAT EVEN IF HE DID, THE BIRMINGHAM PLAYER WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED TO BREAK EDUARDO'S LEG.
EITHER WAY, LET'S ALL JUST HOPE THAT OUR CROATIAN NUMBER 9 MAKES A FULL RECOVERY FROM THE INJURY AND THAT THE BROKEN LEG DOESN'T SPELL THE END OF HIS CAREER AT THE TOP LEVEL.

I am sure that Taylor wanted to leave Eddy in no doubt that he was in for a tough time and that he did intentionally go in heavy with studs up.
Did he mean to snap Eddy's leg in half, probably not but his intention was to cause harm and winning the ball was secondary.
We see it week in week out in matches at all levels up and down the country, the defender or midfielder of one team will purposely put in an over the top tackle on the striker or creative player of the opposing team within the first few minutes in order to make their mark and try to show who is boss.
Our very own Arsenal have players who employ the same tactic, fortunately they have not yet done it to such an extent that they snap some poor fcukers leg and most likely end a career.
Taylor over stepped the mark and should be made an example of by the F.A.

The still photos look terrible. Yet when watching replays (arseblog has links) of the tv footage it looks like a late clumsy challenge, but a genuine one trying to win the ball.
Hope Gallas can calm down, and sort out the rift between Adebayor and Bendtner because Ade failing to pass today cost us the match.
