Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

what like last summer when we offered £2million for Schwartzer which was turned down by Fulham and then went back a month later and offered ........ £2million again which you know was turned down again  and a couple of weeks ago ago we offered less for Jagielka than we did last summer

oh yeah we are a class apart from Barca    keep kidding yourselves lads

I'm sorry you can't compare those to the Fabregas saga. What is it now, 3 years? and still going on. Every other week someone at Barca is talking about signing him.

It doesnt matter who says anything, you were refering to bids made and when it comes to transfer bids we are as bad (in Schwarzer case worse) than the Barca *word censored*

He signed a new 4 year contract after our bids too so how can we rate him as being worth less :banghead:

I agree we should just tell them to pay up or pissoff.. Give them an official deadline and make it public so everyone (CESC) can see the balls in their court.. :banghead:

i hope he goes though i couldn't stand watching his sulking face all season, and then have the bidding start up all over again next year..

How is offering a few million on a couple of occasions for Schwartzer compared to the year after year saga with Cesc "worse"?? I honestly can't see how you come to that conclusion.

On a positive note & one that could solve are centre-half dilema....Matthew Upson & Sol Campbell are still without a club after being released at the end of last season .

You know it....you just know it

If you bid for a player and increase your bid time after time you will eventually get the player when you reach the selling teams price, its the way the world works. The club could say on the other hand say this player is not for sale so even if you bid £200 million you wont get him obviously Barca havent been told that or else why keep bidding?

On the other hand you have the Schwarzer situation where a club has a price turned down and hasnt been told he will not be sold whatever the price so they comes back with exactly the same bid!!!

Now the second one is taking the piss, how can you not understand that???? We are not paragons of virtue within the footballing world

I just dont get why we haven't strengthened yet. It is actually now way beyond a joke. We're absolutely fucked going into next season and yet still nothing is being done about it.

WHY are wenger and gazidis pushing the self destruct button? Surely they're not so stupid and deluded. SOMEONE at arsenal must realise that the fans wont have any more of it and that the backlash coming their way is the most vicious thing Gazidis and his wannabes have ever seen in football.

we at the arsenal are traditionally a conservative bunch....do you really think it will kick off big time this season if we have the sort of start we all fear. mild grumbles or full on demonstration?
