Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We all seem agreed that we need an imposing, experienced CB.

The Werder Bremen sporting director has just stated that every player has their price and that the club would not stand in the way of Per Mertesacker seeking a new challenge.

He's 6'5", 13st 4lb, 75 caps for Germany and scores goals from set pieces.

Come on AW, surely it's a no-brainer.

Mertesacker may not be Usain Bolt but neither's Samba and Cahill and Jagielka have their own weaknesses.

With 75 caps for Germany he'd be my choice ahead of those three.

Sorry to hear about your Granny.

Ministry of Funny Walks
When u see how he kicks a ball, and also look at his below average playing career, I just can't help but think that this fraud lucked out when he first arrived with the riches that he inherited. How can he judge any player considering that he doesn't know how to even kick a fucking a ball, talk about being in the right place at the right time!! He's a fraud of the highest order!!!
Cough Mourinho Cough

Great coaches don't have to be great players and when being objective about a player, it can sometimes be a hindrance to be an ex-player

Steve Rowley currently watching Bolton v Levante pre-season friendly... whether he's there to watch Cahill or loanee Wellington Silva is another matter entirely

Same shit he's been spouting since the window opened. Maybe next week. Maybe next week.

Everyone contends with the same issues in the transfer market, we are no special case like Wenger tries to make out. We just don't like paying up.

Surely Wenger's hands are tied. It absolutely defies belief that he can be that fucking ignorant :banghead:

Arsole Wenger
We don't need quality, we need super quality
Really you *word censored*? Same old bullshit season after season. Was Silvestre super quality? Or Sqiuillaci? Or Koscielny? Or Chamakh?...............no, none of them, in fact you're taking the piss mentioning the word 'quality' with them 4 let alone super quality.
I'd love to punch you in the face Wenger, I guarantee it would be a super quality punch! Image

Look on the positive side: We're probably going to set a new forum record for the number of pages and responses to a single thread. :barscarf: :barscarf:
