worthing_gooner wrote:Home leg will be absolutely crucial. They've lost their two best players in Zapata and Alexis Sanchez but they're not a bad side and we can't let them score at our place.

Plus we'll have no Nasri or RVP for that first game and Wenger won't be on the sidelines, though that last bit might actually be a good thing!

now they have no Inhler, Zapata or Sanches we should win.
Tough draw though.

udinese - qualifier CL

Post by northerngoonerONE »

Let's hope that they have an equally bad start to the new season as they did last year: 5 games played = ONE POINT

Come on you (soon to be) mighty (again) ARSENAL ! :barscarf:

So, i’m 44, my name is mauro and i live in udine.

As recommended by god – or who’s in charge now - I support my home town football team, Udinese (Founded 1896; not a bad record for a non-brit team).

I’d like to enter your forum - as a welcomed guest, i hope - to exchange some talks – hardtalks, why not – about the games we’re going to see. I and my happy few write on http://www.fuarceudin.net, our football&life forum ("fuarce udin", in our regional language, stands for: "go udine").

udine is a small town (100.000 inh.) in north-eastern italy, near venice.
small, i said, nonetheless it strongly identifies our region. the team is a flag to all the people living here.

what more? we like beer, we complain about the transfer market of our team, we are mostly polite.

bars will not be closed, otherwise there will be riots :D

wow, so fast!

there's a ljubljana-udine connection by train. just look at the timetables. one thing, it surely stops in trieste. i mean, i don't know whether there are two different trains to take (ljubljana-trieste + trieste-udine).

about the bars... i don't know! they closed them as a measure against serbian and german supporters, three years ago. if the mayor makes a decision about that, i'll tell you.

good luck to you too.

What's the best way of getting from the train station to the stadium mate? I'm staying at the Hotel Europa which is just next to it.

Ciao lypako or bisiacco,

will my car get stolen in Udine during the match, if I park it in the city with Swiss ( svizzera ) number plate on?

Will my car still be in one piece if for 2 hours after the match I drive round the city beeping my horn and waving an Arsenal flag out of the window?

omg! obviously your car will not get stolen or broken! our crime rate is dramatically lower than the london rate. (well, if you need something to tell to your friends when you are back, just give me the plate number and i can arrange the job :D )

about the second question: why should you beep any horns or wave flags? to celebrate the first EL since 2006?
