Tottenham burned to the ground, police report 50p worth of damage
Seriously though, its worth waiting until all the facts of the incident are known before commenting too much, but it sounds like a bloke who was trouble has been killed and, tbh, regardless of whether the police are in the right or in the wrong in this incident, I would tend to say that if you play with fire then you get burned. He's going around with a gun- that would suggest to me that he would be prepared to shoot someone if necessary so I struggle to have much (any) sympathy when he is killed himself, if it saves an innocent person from losing a loved one who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time then fine as far as I'm concerned.
There is a lot of scum in this country, there is a growing underclass and it needs to be stamped out. Less of this shite about human rights and such like, if you want to go around acting "gangster" carrying knives and guns and generally posing like Nile fucking Ranger then the police should be taking it upon themselves to knock you into shape. As mentioned earlier in the thread, where are the riots when a young mother or kid is killed by one of these "hard men"?
Its about time people stood up for the country and sorted half of these fuckers out. Oh aye, and scrap benefits for anyone unemployed for over a year, give them vouchers instead that can only be used for certain types of food, if they cant be arsed to work, make them live like a 5 year old kid since they're about as much fucking use

im not condoning anything thats happened, all im saying is that if indeed the police have tried to cover up a fuck up its only gonna spur on these, as you rightly point out, criminals.
My reference to the uk being angry is valid, maybe moody and simmering is a better way to describe. people (ok mainly people from a poor background) are growing up on streets where hate and resentment is the norm. Hoodies chavs whatever you wanna call em feed off hate and this could quickly spread if not dealt with quickly.

I'm wondering when we will get a dose of rioting - can pick the areas now
Llanrummney/Pentwyn/Trowbridge (East Cardiff)
G(St)rangetown (Cardiff Centralish)
Butetown (Docks)
Ely (Cardiff West)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardiff_Ely_Bread_Riots
The Cardiff Ely Bread Riots or Petrol Riots refer to the outbreak of racially motivated violence that occurred in the council suburb of Ely in the Welsh capital of Cardiff during September 1991.
Supposed* rising racial tensions on the estate of Ely came to a head reported to have been initiated by a dispute between two shopkeepers, one white and one Asian, who had started to sell bread and put the other out of business. (*Many locals believe that this was just a spark for a more significant problem of social exclusion resulting from unemployment & crime [1]). The riots were centered on the top shops in Wilson Road, Ely, Cardiff. They began on 2 September and lasted until 6 September.[2]
Police forces, riot squads and fire services from all across the Vale of Glamorgan were called in the keep the outbreak at bay. The event made the UK news headlines for two days running which only helped to fuel the outbreak of violence. For many residents of Ely, the disorder was only experienced via the news as it only affected a restricted area of the district.
The shops involved in the incident have since been demolished.
