Yes but there were several weeks before the tournament in which the transfer could have taken place.
I know that but de gea himself refused to discuss his future so that he could concentrate on the upcoming under 21 championships so those few (not several) weeks dont really count imo
Well before the CL final Ballague and Graham Hunter said De Gea was ready to move and hoped the deal would be completed before the tournament. It was only during the tournament that De Gea came out and said he would prefer to talk after. Anyway my main point was that we're not the only club to encounter problems when trying to secure a deal for certain players. Just look at United's struggle to push through the Sniejder deal.
That's just one isolated transfer, that you've cherry picked and twisted so you can compare our long drawn deals with other clubs (and even then it's stretching the point), but looking back at our proposed deals, it's virtually every incoming transfer since the Arshavin one that just drags on and on, even our outgoing transfers are the same. Why can you not accept any justified criticism towards the club? Do you work for them or something??
Did you even bother to read my initial point? Where I shed light on the possible cause as to why our transfer dealings take so long? Oh no ofcourse not, I could never criticise the club.
I still don't understand your point on outgoing transfers?!
Eboue, Bendtner, Almunia still fucking here!!!!!! How long does it take us to off-load this shit.... It's only now that there's rumblings of Bendtner finally going... Eboue was linked a few weeks ago for the off..... Denilson only out on loan, get rid altogether...
I'm going back to work now... but what exactly is your point about the incoming transfers?? As I see it, you've put up the De Gea transfer as some kind of comparison as to why our incoming transfers take forever...
Surely as the selling club there's very little you can do if no one shows interest in a player?
Here's the point I made regarding the length of our transfer dealings;

Our problems with incoming transfers are no different to any other club. There are so many examples of other clubs taking a fair while to finalise deals. Negotiations are rarely completed overnight.
everything would be rosy if only gazidis ordered wenger to order players to dress smartly.
who can blame gazidis for taking the piss out of the fans and being so smug about it when he knows the likes of the editor of a popular fanzine/ website are so pathetic in their responses and regrettably i fear for the wrong reasons with my legitimate enquiries about perks remaining unanswered.
oh if you dont like what gazidis had to say, just remember gooner ed does not want you to write in to the club with any comments because according to gooner ed not complaining is the better way forward.
