Well, I think in wilshire and ramsey we have two exceptional talents who will be able to take responsibility in central midfield. I know they are young , and in ramsey's case especially, lack experience, but I think they are good enough. Also they have not been part of the recent debacles, so psychologically they will be stronger perhaps. We still have arshavin, walcot, song and rosicky who are all capable players, and I'm looking forward to seeing frimpong and oxelade chamberlain. Overall, even without cesc and nasri, it's a pretty exciting looking midfield. What is absolutely paramount however, is that wenger strengthens the defence. With the money we get from cesc and nasri, wenger will be able to do this. So, no excuses arsene, we need two centre backs a left back, a midfield destroyer and especially since bendtner's leaving, another striker.
You've forgotten Abou the Imperious. If he gets a decent run in a central attacking midfield position he'll surprise the bloody lot of you :barscarf:

The future's bright.......the future's Abou :D
THe thing with him is he's so bloody inconsistent. One game he'll play amazing and the next you can't tell whether he's a footballer or a zoo keeper

There are so many that it over-loaded the YouTube system, thus the need to take them off from there.

However I'm sure SteveO has got a back catalogue of all the Imperious One's great games for Arsenal - including the one where he does a slalom run past 5 Barcelona players before rounding the keeper and slotting home the ball, to help us win our first European Cup!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

What do you mean you don't remember that one?  :?

Ha ha. Alternatively, and these are just the highlights from a list that's too lengthy to remember:

1. Standard Liege away - who dragged us back from 0-2 down with all the creative flair of a master artist at work for the first goal

2. Aston Villa away in the 2-2 draw - the touchline skill and creation for the second goal. Sublime

3. Running the show in the 5-2 out in Fenerbahce

4. Exactly the sort of sublime twinkle-toed skill and slide rule pass as in 1. witnessed in our last competitive match at Fulham to set RvP up for the equaliser

There's plenty more where that list came from. Come on Abou me old son

Wenger in Kicker today: no interest in Mertesacker. "We have four central defenders, no need for another one"
*facepalm*
