Why parker?
Give the midfield more experience. With cesc n nasri leaving need to plug the gap. CB is preferable but if wenger thinks the defence is ok, then the midfield definatley is not.

Yeah but he seemed to indicate this meant Vermaelen being back from injury.
"We will have a new centre-back by the end of the transfer window because Thomas Vermaelen only played five games last year," he said.

After reading that it dawned on me that is exactly what he meant

i unstuck this as im sick of reading about players who we want but will never sign. just work away on threads about players who we wont sign and i wont delete them i promise :cry:

Ooohhh, we're linked to two more players today.......what? One is French....yes, oh, and he's young, 5ft 7" tall and has played just one good season with a small club....PERFECT! We'll definitely pay 10m plus for him.

And the other?.........oh, he's young, he's African......but where does he play?.......Woohoo!!! In France! YESSSSS.......ok, we'll offer 13m for him, those African Frenchies are all excellent players.

Interesting story in the people which suggests that the board and staff within the club are losing patience with wenger over his constant dithering in the transfer market - they claim that he keeps vetoing deals at the last minute inc that of scott dann who both pat rice and chief scout steve rowley both recommended but he ignored them :roll: :x

Another interesting piece suggests that sagna is being targetted by the scum at the lane - I think that it is fair to say that even in these mercenary times sagna wouldnt sign for them *word censored* but it does suggest that sagna is very frustrated at the continued policy of selling top players and replacing them with unproven players.

It is getting more and more a case of whoever is last out can they turn off the lights please :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
