The overall package is £35m. Not enough I agree but not 29 million euros.DUFFMAN wrote:29million euros!! 29 FUCKING MILLION EUROS.
You gutless bunch of spineless selling out c**ts hill-wood & co.
Maybe I should go down Aston Martin tomorrow with a tenner and when they chuck me out I'll just keep coming back every day until they give up and sell it to me for the tenner.
FUCKING LIVID YOU SPINELESS c**ts.
Adios.

I'd say average rather than horribly mediocre. QPR are horribly mediocre.Dan_85 wrote:Legend? Not quite. The star in a horribly mediocre team, yes.MM99 wrote:he will always be an Arsenal legend to me. Hope he wins nothing with barca though. Fuck barca.
I'm sure we're all looking for scapegoats at this time, but the announcement really annoyed me on Twitter.
"Arsenal announces that they have reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas to move to Spain."
They? Who the hell is writing this if it's not somebody from Arsenal? Oh of course, the marketing department don't have a clue that they are merely part of a football club.
Moan, whinge...

Thanks to Cesc for his fantasic performances and he will always be an Arsenal legend to me. Hope he wins nothing with barca though. Fuck barca.

Absolutely agree with every word you say though esp the fact that he will always be an Arsenal legend to me and agree with bournemouthred that I am only sorry that we didnt built a team around him to match his talent

Like yourself, i am sad to see a player leave that could have won so many things with us had he had more world class players around him. We've just arguably lost the world's best CM and 90% of our attacking threat. Sad times indeed.
My understanding is that the overall package is 35m euros - not £££ (29m plus another 6m based on appearances and trophies).worthing_gooner wrote:The overall package is £35m. Not enough I agree but not 29 million euros.DUFFMAN wrote:29million euros!! 29 FUCKING MILLION EUROS.

For a player worth around £40m this just makes Arsenal look like mugs. They couldn't even negotiate a player coming the other way in return.....

Bwahahaha! Put a poll up mate, see how many people rate him as the best CM. Or even the best Spanish CM.MM99 wrote:augie wrote:MM99 wrote:Fuck this shit. But for us to lose 2 of our handful of world class players and not get any decent replacements in is a joke and inexcusable.

Obviously it's going to be hyperbole time around here for a while...
Indeed. And the Tevez thing is bullshit, at least if the homesickness thing was really the reason. I mean, London's not *that* much nearer to South America than Manchester is.worthing_gooner wrote:Biggest couple of weeks of Wenger's AFC career. Much nicer for the wife though...

Apparently we will only receive £12.7m up front for Cesc, another payment due in October. What a joke.

£12.7m now, £12.7m in Oct. €5m for each year of his contract and €6m on apps, goals and trophies. So how much dish do #fcb owe us now?!

Taken for mugs we have been.

Pathetic, fucking pathetic.
Even if we were an ambitionless, profit maximizing club, from a business decision it's frankly disgusting.
29m (minus add ons) in a market where Carrol gets 35m, an unproven Spanish teenage keeper gets ~20m, where Luke Young gets 17m FFS.
Our captain and best player for 29m. I'm embarrassed to even be associated with the team today.
