I'm gonna miss this guy.

Should have built a quality team around him, but we couldnt do that, one of the best players to play for arsenal. I'll remember the numerous good times he gave, and before he lost faith in the project he had arsenal running in his veins.

I truly wish him the best of luck :barscarf: . But glad its over.

Now Xavi, kindly STFU.

Cesc Fabregas on Twitter: "Just got my new Blackberry Bold 9900. It's amazing!"

Well, I guess he'll need something to entertain him while he sits on the subs bench.

Farewell Cesc, the Liam Brady of the modern Arsenal. by far the best player in a shite squad and only a single FA Cup success to his name.

Well, a Community Shield as well, but you get the point.

BLIND HATRED MASKS SAD REALITY

Post by Herd »

Some of you cant see the wood from the trees .

It is painfully obvious to me from the statements that have been made by Wenger that both Nasri and Cesc have been sold against the wishes of Wenger by Gazidis.
Wenger does NOT conduct the wage negotiations nor the actual transfer negotiations ,the club do .................and have always done !
One of the reasions Edleman was outed was because he fucked up the Flamini contract and it would appear that Gazidis isn't much better given the current track record of the club and contracts.

Given that u can understand Wengers statements which make sense given the above scenario.

Lets see how much they allocate him to spend !

Not a lot is my guess !

Wengers even got an excuse as to why he doesn't make more signings now, we don't get another 12m+ till October! This is what we have been haggling for for months? Fuck me, Arsenal are managed well, from top to bottom.
Who's running this club.....Zippy and Bungle?  :banghead:
and a player who had a long contract with us... i mean, we sold him so cheap because we didn't want to upset him? what the fuck?

kenny dalglish would probably have payed 230 million pounds for cesc fabregas!!!!

That's a real concern. Nothing has been said of RVP/Walcott's contracts but they will be entering their last year next summer.

Unlikely RVP will be signing an extension at the moment, and all of a sudden we will have no world class players left whatsoever.

This is a huge two weeks for Wenger. We need to strengthen or we're fucked.

I agree the fee is small in comparison, but Cesc has given us no option. He's nmade it clear thats the only club he wants to go to. Every other team would have signed him for 50 or so mil, but he wouldn't go. I have to say he's dissapointed me with some of the stuff this summer.

Still it'll be gutting with him in that team of wankers next year. Might as well wear a chelsea shirt.

Bang On.

Some fans accuse Barca of being whores. Arsenal FC have sold our best players for knock down prices for years. The Arsenal Board are making whores of The Arsenal. Man U got top dollar when they sold Ronaldo

Barca's ambtion is to be a Top Club in world football. Arsenal Plc's ambition is to make money and they charge more money for their match tickets than Barca do. :o

Arsenal fans need to boycott the Club untill they bring in the World Class Players that the club require to compete for trophies on the pitch

Madrid wanted Ronaldo more than he wanted to leave United, though. United were in the driving seat the whole time with regards to the transfer fee. Fabregas on the other hand, appears to have made it clear he wants out and that he couldn't give 100% anymore. Barca and Arsenal both knew it.

It's down to Fabregas that we didn't get the transfer fee we wanted.

Hang on though - Ronaldo made it clear that he wanted to go to Real Madrid and after at first saying he wouldn't sell them a virus, Fergie relented but demanded £80m or no deal. Guess what, he got it - even though it was a single club option much like Cesc's transfer. The difference is that Man United and Fergie have more balls than the spineless men currently in charge at our once great club.

In all fairness kiwomya that is a crap reason - we didnt have to sell cesc no matter what anybody says as he still had years remaining on his contract. If he was adamant that he wanted out then he could have been put up for auction and let the highest bidder get him then thus ensuring a higher fee for us. I am huge cesc fan and I still defend him on here now but I really dont give a flying fcuk if he only wanted to go to barca cos we should be doing what is best for the club not cesc. Sentimentality, or should I say cesc's sentimentality, should have nothing to do with our club's decision in this matter and I am damn sure that if a hardliner like GG was manager he wouldnt allow cesc to dictate which club he went to  That is and always has been a problem with wenger's reign.......he is too close to his players and he mollycoddles them too much and is nowhere near ruthless enough especially when it comes to getting the useless *word censored* out of our club

Read what I said. Its Barcelona. Any other club would have paid big money.

Players come and go, good ones and bad ones and he was a very good one. We should thank him for his efforts and wish him all the best. We all would of gone if we were in his shoes better team, more money and his home. More concerned about where we go from here and who we get in now. AW will buy someone but who? Tough times for us gooners at the moment, keep smiling guys & girls.
