Cesc is a top man, who has been let down by his boss. If Wenger had recruited the players to make us a team who could challenge for honours I do not believe Cesc would have felt as obliged to go as he did.
You imagine being Cesc and turning round, looking at your team mates and seeing Almunia, Squillaci, Denilson and the like. And you wonder why he could not take it anymore.
Anyone who seriously comes on here and uses an expletive to describe Cesc is silly, sad and quite pathetic (and deep down they know it, sad).

At least he's honest, and is leaving the club for the right reasons for once. Money is irrelevant unlike Nasri and many others.
It just so happens he wants to play for his hometown club who are the best team in the world with his mates from childhood and his old club stagnated and didnt have the ambition to move forward.
All this bitterness is a bit pathetic. Its a long longing saga but that is not his fault.

Cesc is one of the best players we've had in our midfield and if we'd had a team capable of challenging I have no doubt he'd be here now still.
But he's born and bred catalan, and Barce came knocking, with Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Villa. Whatever you think of them personally, they are world class footballers, winning trophies left right and centre.
Why would Cesc not want to go home?

I seriously don't get this. He just signed for the best team in the world, who he supports, who all his mates play for and he needs to think " I can't kiss this badge untill at least 10 games in because of Arsenal"Goonanana wrote:Does he really need to be kissing the Barca badge 5 minutes in? Bit disrespectful I feel regardless of how much he loves Barca

It's completely different to when Hleb did it but the way people go on about this transfer it's as if it's the same situation

The Fabregas thing is done now, at least it's over. Top bloke and great asset to the club. Best of luck to him in the future.
If you want to blame someone then blame the media, Barcelona, his new team mates, Arsene Wenger or the Arsenal board.
If you want to *word censored* him off, then I presume Liam Brady and Thierry Henry are similar because they left for similar reasons and in a similar manner.

He's gone. Whoopee-do. Get over it.
Only thing I'm a bit pissed off about is the money. We basically took one up the Jayson (
) on this deal. Our top dogs are spineless puppies.
And for me he is not a legend. No way near. He is a brilliant footballer and was the best player in an average Arsenal squad. But legend? No way.
